Very impressed so far... |

| I have had 2 pairs of Salomon hiking boots (one gore-tex which is the way to go for where we live high in the CO mountains). Salomon are so very comfortable and lightweight. Right out of the box I took these trail shoes on a short 45 minute hike that involved a lot of elevation gain. Very comfortable with no hot spots whatsoever. Very good arch support and burly sole. I tested the fit on the up and down portions - the laces held fine on both, and my toes did not feel like they were jamming into the top of the shoe, even on the steep downhill. FIT: It seems to me these are a very roomy 7. I usually wear a 7 in shoes and altho I wouldn't say these are a half size too big, nevertheless they're roomy. The laces cinch up so the width is no problem. I also can add a foam insole since they're big enough (I like that cushy feel on long hikes). The only problem eventually may be laces - if they break Salomon may replace them, or maybe I can rig up substitutes with super glue and cord! Anyway, I am very pleased and in my experience Sierra Trading Post always has the best prices (hands down!) on this type of item. That was true in this case since I shopped around... Thanks, Sierra Trading Post and Salomon! |

Best Hiking/Trail Run Shoe- NO BREAK IN! |
| Rating: | |
| I hike 5 miles of trails with some steep rocky terrain every morning- this shoe was so comfy right out of the box. Lots of foliage beside single-track trail makes for wet conditions just after dawn. These are the only running shoe that keeps me dry. I purposely stepped into puddles of water and even into Jenny Lake in the Tetons and my sock stayed dry! These were my only shoes on a 8 day trip to GTNP and YNP and I'd do it again. Warm in the cold mornings, but didn't make my feet hot during warmer parts of day (paired with smartwool sock). The quick release lacing system is great. So fast and easy to get in and out of, especially when trying to put shoes on when feet are out of the tent but the rest of you is in the tent going slightly downhill! This shoe is perfect for hiking, trail running and puddle jumping!! |

Pleasantly surprised !! |

| First ordered size 9, which is my usual size to order for hiking shoes for extra room feel. Felt too big and too wide. Never felt like I could get them snug around my foot. Ordered my usual everyday size of 8.5. Fit was perfect for me. Great arch support, good mid foot, arch tightening with pull strings. Enough toe room. I have worn these all day without any foot, ankle or leg discomfort. Very lightweight. Because of the water resistance aspect of shoes (GoreTex) which is nice when around wet conditions I did find that even with wicking socks my feet did not breath as well as with other breathable hiking shoes I have worn in past. Not a major issue for me, just a different aspect to be aware of. Wish I had had these when in Yosemite in May actually instead of my North Face shoes that these replaced. |

Awesome Shoes |

| I love these shoes! They have great cushioning and support, and are water resistant without being too insulated. They seem to breathe well. I wear these shoes nearly every day to walk/jog in the country, occasionally in tall wet grass. My feet have stayed dry. I love the unique lacing system and the little pocket on the tongue of the shoe to tuck the drawstring in. I have not yet stepped into a large puddle to see how dry my feet stay, but I am extremely pleased with the fit and comfort of this product! |

Salomon trail runners |
| Rating: | |
| Trail running and snowshoe running in cooler weather, can be warmer than other shoes in hot weather, but with gaiter use, they keep out fine dirt that shoes with the mesh let in. Have had 3 pairs, my current pair has breaks in each of the laces, retied them so now the laces are short and the shoes hard to get in to, but ready for a replacement soon anyway, will buy the same again, [...] |

My second pair |
| Rating: | |
| These are my second pair. I wear them all year long, the gortex makes them good for light snow. I love the easy lace up system. I mostly use them as climbing approach shoes and day hikes. After a year of heavy use, my first pair's laces frayed and I blew out the sides, but I felt this was to be expected with how hard I had worn them. |

Great shoes |

| Have only had them 3 days, but wore them 12-15 hours all 3 days, working as a nurse. Needed to break them in before I take them hiking. Completely comfortable from minute 1. Feel like bedroom slippers, with support. Have already ordered a second pair. I am so impressed. |

Love these shoes |

| Great shoes in last year's color. True to size for Salomon. Love the laces - drawstring set up means they don't get muddy and I never have to tie them. These can be warmer than other trail runners because they've got Goretex across the forefoot instead of breathable mesh. |

| I have a very narrow heel, but added inserts and they fit great. I walk the dog everyday in wet and/or dewey surfaces. I love that you just slip them on and tighten with the pull attachment - no tying. |

May Not Be True to Their Size! |

| Most attractive, potentially comfortable and probably substantial shoes. Very disappointed that they were too long and too wide, although I ordered my size. I should have ordered a half a size smaller. I think I would have loved them! |
