Reviews:

Well built, light on impact protection

Rating:****
This is a good fitting and supportive shoe that, alas, lacks in impact absorption but not traction. This can be rectified by tossing the factory insoles and adding a pair of Superfeet insoles to beef up the impact absorption and enhance the heel stability. I liked the fit enough to order a second pair. The recommendation as a "lightweight backpacking shoe" applies ONLY if you are willing to drop coin for the better insoles. A well-built shoe that is not made in China...imagine!

Built tough

Rating:****
Real vibrum soles that won't get destroyed in some of the razor-sharp limestone that we have out here. Mostly impervious to cheat grass seeds do to nubuck and ballistic fabric on exterior.

Well made and tough

Rating:****
I tried out this shoe everywhere. Great traction, incredibly stable. gave it four stars as it felt a little hard underfoot. Would have liked more cushion.
