Scarpa built the Men’s Quest Approach Shoe on a modified rock shoe last to give you the sticky precision of your climbing kicks for technical approaches and easy fifth-class pitches. The grippy Sticky Dot rubber sole gives you traction on everything from granite slabs to muddy approach trails. Rubber toe and heel rands cut down on wear and tear, and the all-leather upper brings all-day comfort to your vertical life.
When the trail turns to rock, keep moving into the blue with the lower cut Quest from Black Diamond. Increased mobility, excellent venting and tough all-leather uppers take you higher. EVA midsole and sticky climbing rubber sole provide outstanding support and grip. Specifications based on size 42.

| So far these babies are perfect for anything from casual daily wear to short hikes to vertical ascents. I haven't run them yet on anything more than a double digit hike, yet...but speaking of 'running', I have actually run in them and they seem well suited for street or trail--if not a bit heavy. The only thing so far that blind-sided me was the slickness if these things when wet. Continue with caution once you get them in water. I found this out at the bottom of a cave in the Ozarks... In all honesty, I am thinking of grabbing a few more pairs of these so when Scarpa stops making them, I'll be set for a little while. I definitely recommend them for versatility and overall quality. Not only would I recommend these to a friend, but I'd even recommend them to a perfect stranger. | |

SOLE CAME OFF | |

| I've owned these for a few months but worn them rarely. a few rock climbing outings was fine then wore them on the bigwall. after 2 pitches of aid, the soles started pealing away at the toe. these things look like they'd be good wall shoes and/or rockclimbing approach shoes...but mine fell apart at the sole. ymmv? | |
