The T2´s have been the most popular backcountry boot around. This year there is a very small change. There is now a touring clip on the top calf buckle to keep it from flapping while touring, so you can tell this years from last years boot. Last year it was significantly improved. Although it has a similar touring flex as the older T2, a new asymmetric dual-density cuff was added which gives the boot 15% more power and drive in crud and breakable crust. The Dual Density Thermo-Fit liner, which can be custom-molded to your foot, has a higher cuff that with a beefy power strap allows you to control the ski better. The liner saves over 1 lb. per pair. A dual-injection plastic torsion beam adds rigidity without a "hinge" effect. An asymmetrical bellows allows for a more natural forward flex. A low-profile walk/ski lever can be locked in either a 17 or 20 degree forward lean position. The T2X sports three Easy Lock micro-adjust buckles, and an easily-replaceable scuff guard. Women´s liner is built on a narrower last. For mail order customers, any good downhill ski shop should have trained knowledgeable staff to assist you with thermofit fitting. Since each half-size and next full size above use both the same shell and Thermofit liner (i.e., the 27.5 liner and shell are identical to the 28), and thermofitting allows for accurate fitting at least every full size, we stock by shell sizes.
