double duty boot kicks it | |

| This was my first tele boot after coming from the darkside. I used it to master my tele turns on K2 Superstinx, then also on my new BlackDiamond Havocs with Hammerhead bindings. The boot turns both of these skis with no problem, and tours beautifully, with no blisters. I have a fairly narrow foot and the Scarpa last is perfect for me. After 150+ days on these boots the buckles still work well, although the duckbill is starting to look pretty beat up now, from a number of rock scrambles. An awesome boot for both backcountry and lift skiing. | |

| coming from the old T2's, I found these new boots uncomfortable and stiff. I suppose this will increase the control of my skiis in the crud | |

too much | |

| I had a pair of these for a year, using them in solely in the backcountry. They promote the T2X as a touring boot, but its too much boot for that use: too high and too stiff; uncomfortable for hiking. What was wrong with the old 2-buckle T2? They could've lightened it up and really had something (that's the one positive about the T2X--it is lightweight). If you do buy them I'd recommend going with the "comfort fit" instead of the "performance fit", or you'll end up with real torture chambers. | |

good bad ugly | |

| good - 1-they push my newer, fatter ski, very well. 2-they don't seem too heavy. 3-rick, boot fitting genius at englewood-co store spent a ton of time adjusting boot, getting me a footbed to ensure comfort. bad 1-came from an older,2 buckle, maroon colored t3 and found these down right painful. i should have tried on every boot in the market prior to purchase. ugly 1-englewood store let me buy and leave without doing the heat molding. finding the right rei employee is key to this purchase. | |

| I tried this boot on and it reminded me of an alpine racing boot. Super high cuff. Stiffer than necessary for telemark. If I were into racing or steep icy resort skiing it would be great. But for an old guy that's been telemarking for 20 years it's way overkill for cruising, powder skiing, and backcountry travel. | |
