The T2's have been the most popular backcountry boot around. This year they have cut the Carbon footprint, by using Pebax Rnew plastic, created from the renewable oil from the Castor plant. A newly refined Torsion Frame using Triple injection technology provides lateral rigidity independent of the bellows giving you great edge control in all snow conditions. An improved elastic Active Power Strap increases the responsiveness. New micro adjustable buckles, a Vibram Flash sticky rubber walking sole, and a new Intuition Performance Flex G liner round out the changes. An asymmetric dual-density cuff allows for a more natural forward flex, and gives the boot power and control in crud and breakable crust. . A low-profile walk/ski lever can be locked in either a 17 or 20 degree forward lean position, and there is an easily-replaceable scuff guard. The new Intuition Ultralon Foam Liner are thermo-moldable, fit better, and ski better than last years liner. Different foam densities optimize comfort and performance, while hidden stitching eliminate pressure points. Women's liner is built on a narrower last. For mail order customers, any good downhill ski shop should have trained knowledgeable staff to assist you with thermofit fitting. Since each half-size and next full size above use both the same shell and preformed Thermofit liner (i.e., the 27.5 liner and shell are identical to the 28 once heated), and thermofitting allows for accurate fitting at least every full size, we stock by shell sizes.

The Scarpa T2 Eco is the most popular women’s telemark boot, and for good reason. Lightweight and comfortable enough for epic backcountry touring, yet stiff and burly enough to hammer all day on ice and hardpack, you’ll probably wear your T2’s more than your street shoes this winter. Plus Scarpa made these from recyclable plastic. Eco, get it?

I guess I am partial to Scarpa boots as it is the only boot I have owned. The Scarpa T2 women's is great. Very comfortable after heat molded and very warm (I live in Minnesota). I was also very pleased they fit into my bindings without any trouble. If there was a downside, it is minor, but the loop to tether your ski to your boot is a drag...it should face vertical to the buckle and be closer to the toe, my straps barely reach and in sub-zero weather it is a b@#$% to attach. The older models Scarpa's had it right, go back to that design. | |
