Dip Belt | |

| The best thing about this belt is that you no longer have to go to the hardward store and by chain by the foot and try to attach it to your regular weight belt. This is the right way to incorporate dips with added weight safely with out injury.[...] | |

Disappointing quality

| I was shocked by how flimsy the clip is on this belt. My old dip belt had two caribeener clips and a heavy duty chain...this unit has one caribeener and a very light chain. I was concerned that it might not survive and after the very first workout (may have been after the first set, not sure exactly), the caribeener bent and is now unusable. I kept my old chain on my other belt so I am using it now. Basically, the weight (I had 180 on the belt that originally bent it, but 135 also worsened the damage) was too much for the clip and it bent it so it won't close. For safety reasons, I would not use this belt with the chain and clip it comes with with anything over 90 lbs (that may even be too much) Very disappointing...this is obviously, in hindsight, not a belt for serious lifters, but more of a light-duty "club" model for casual users (although it would surprise me if anyone that even knows how to use a dip belt would not push it by using a lot of weight) | |

Not as 'Heavy Duty' as it seems.

| You don't have many options when it comes to dip belts. Since this is my first dip belt I'm not complaining TOO much.My biggest concern is that the 'Heavy Steel Carabinger' is actually more like metal coated plastic. Even the chain feels extremely light, which leads me to think it may snap later. For [$]I was hoping for some Ford F150 type of strength. However, the leather belt itself seems sturdy enough. So, if anything does ever happen to the chain and/or carabinger I will just run to Home Depot and buy something stronger.Overall, you are spending extra money for the sturdy leather. | |

Not exactly heavy gauge steel

| The "heavy gauge steel carabineer" broke almost instantly and needed replaced - mainly due to the fact that a part of that carabineer is not steel at all. Given the price tag, I expected a little more from this product. If the chain is made of the same alloy, it might pose a safety issue (in my opinion, anyway). That said, the leather parts are well built and stitched, the padding is comfortable. It's a good product overall, I just wish they used consistently high-spec materials. | |
