When I ordered the Scotty Threaded Deck Mount it was meant to save space because angled holders stick way down into the deck of my Pungo 100. These little holders not only take up little deck depth but also are compatible with the Scotty Rod Holders. When you’re not fishing you can remove the holder and use the plug provided to have a clean looking system. I had to purchase a couple of Spinner Rod Holders separately and threw away the mounts. I was lucky to have ordered the Scotty Holders that are compatible.
This mount fits perfectly between the Rod Pod and the Sonar Shield on my Trident 13. Thanks to my fishing buddy Brian for suggesting it. It was very easy to install as well. Oh, and if you use a little water-safe sealant (like AquaSeal) with it then you'll get a better/drier seal.
