| I picked this up and was a bit self conscious about what all my backpacking friends would say when I pulled it out of my pack (I am the gadget guy, something for everything).... Well, I pulled out out after a 7 mile hike into camp. They laughed. I then went to the lake and came back with a giant load of water (it was a heavy haul). I then proceeded to filter the water from my basin for cooking or whatever else I needed, without having to go back to the lake to fill a Nalgene. Later, I decided it was laundry time so I turned the basin inside out and filled it, when off and washed some clothes; and as I was finishing it became the big hit and everyone wanted to wash clothes in it (Natural soap of course, away from water sources ;) ) After that was done I turned it back to the intended basin side and filled it back up with water to bring near camp. Everyone dipped in and filtered their water from it. By the end of the trip everyone wanted one. I highly recommend grabbing one and trying it out. | |

This product functions just as stated in the description. Just used it on a backpacking trip in the high Uintas. The photo is about all you need. Its main selling point is the steel ring in the rim of the sink. I've seen the Granite Gear sink in action, and it fails in that it spills out water when full. Not this one. Nice work STS, great design. As you can see, the sink remains rigid when full of water, and as the water level gets lower it still will retain its shape. Genius. 10 liters was enough to pump all water for three people to cook with, rinse dishes, drink with, and at the end of the night was enough to extinguish the fire with. I also like that you don't need to do dishes directly in the river/lake and can keep food scraps out of the natural environment. 10 L is perfect for a small group, 20 L would be overkill. Highly recommended; you should pick one up for the function versus weight in your pack. Very much worth the weight for convenience for pumping water, dishes, etc.

More than just a sink | |

| When I bought this sink some years back my intent was not for use but for just one more piece of gear I could have. My thoughts changed quickly. On multi-week river and desert trips to mountain summits this camp sink has been a lifesaver. It can serve as a rain collector to an extra container to settle water in or even as a rain hat! Its the perfect size to wash backcountry kitchenware in and you don't even notice the weight. It dries quickly and never has retained any smell. This sink is very tuff and very small. The basin goes with me on every trip no matter where I am going! On one trip I made a large pinprick hole on the bottom of the basin , but with just a small drop of seam bond from my pad repair kit and wham problem fixed and that was in 2003 and have never had a problem since. What a great buy! | |

I have the 10L version for backpacking, and was thinking about getting the 5 L but im not sure if that would be wise since my small 2 person cooking pot just fits into the 10L.

These things are great. I have two, the 5L for solo trips and the 10L for trips with the wife and friends. Their great for pumping water out of to keep your filter cleaner as well as washing dishes, bathing, water for your dog, etc. They don't spill water like older camp sinks though you need a relatively flat surface. You can also hang them from a tree or limb by the handles. They pack small and are lightweight. Great product and highly recommend.

"Great product" | |

| The Sea to Summit Kitchen Sink is great for cleaning up your camp dishes. We have pans up to 2.5 quart size, and this sink is more than up to the task. It easily air dries after use and can then be folded similar to those car windshield sun screens into a small package which slips into its own zippered pouch. Now if we can just find the button for the auto wash, rinse and dry cycle, then we'll be all set. | |

"Wash Dishes? Buy This"

| If you have to wash dishes while camping this nifty contraption makes it at least bearable. Also, helps conserve water so you don't have to filter as much. It takes a bit of getting use to, but is so much more effective than trying to wash your dishes in a stream or out of a MSR Bag. It does take quite a bit of practice to quickly put it back in it's case. | |

"Best portable bucket ever!"

| I've never used this as a sink. . I usually have a sink near the campsite that I can use if I'm car camping, and I just rinse and wipe if I'm backpacking. But I have used it as a bucket to put out fires, wash things off, and douse friends. It's the best portable bucket ever! Also, it lets me say that I have everything -including- the kitchen sink, which is fun. | |

Sea To Summit Kitchen Sink

The Sea To Summit Kitchen Sink is a convenient basin to wash your camping dishes in. The 10L size is plenty big and will do the job for everything except the largest of pans. It collapses into a carrying case with a little drain hole. This is a nice product for car camping and river trips.

I got the 10l model and it was about 4-5 inches in dia by 1.5 thick. After opening it up itwas HUGE. You could wash a crock pot (by rotating it) in this thing! I'm very pleased but may have to get the smaller one for water conservation
