Excellent bags | |

I have a large and it recently spent a night hung in a tree with food through a nasty storm. It probably rained hard for a solid 2 hours or more. It was hanging from the drawstring. Come morning, everything was perfectly dry in the bag. The stream we camped near rose at least two feet that night.

I bought two of these, size medium. I used one for my sleeping bag (Marmot Pinnacle) and another for my clothing. This item kept both completely dry in multiple down pours. The construction and materials are superior. Sea to Summit has hit the nail on the head with this item. Keep in mind, however, that is is not 100% submersible. There is no way to completely seal the opening, so it might not be a good choice for activities such as kayaking. But, for backpacking, I don't think you can find a higher quality stuff sack.

Sea to Summit waterproof stuff sacks

I have used the 15 liter side release buckle waterproof dry sack and the 30 liter pull string waterproof stuff sack to hang food on my AT hikes. Both kept the contents dry in very wet conditions, whether hanging from a tree or sitting on the ground. I put a regular stuff sack inside the 15 liter dry sack to keep the sharp edges from poking through, like the edges of dehydrated meal pouches. I bought a full set of the dry sacks for my son to use on his upcoming backpacking trip in Scotland.

A Good Choice, IMO | |

After buying dozens of stuff sacks from OR over the years, I've grown tired of the price increases, taking the daisychains off several models, taking the dust flaps off, ... just generally cheapening the product, while increasing the price. So, I wanted to try some Summit sacks. It's a win!! Good, straight sacks, very well made, and I think they're great. So, that's two traditional suppliers I've avoided this year (Black Diamond was the other, due to their anti-sale, anti-discounting practices.).I will stick with this product! Thanks!!

I bought the small bag to use when i was down at the beach for my cell phone, wallet and keys. It has not failed me yet. I needed it especially when summer thunderstorms pop up and douse everything. I have also taken it with me when i was fishing out of a sea kayak and it did great. It kept everything dry.

The best on the market | |

Excellent stuff sack -- durable, waterproof, and easy to spot in a stuffed pack. I've used these biking, backpacking, and kayaking, and have been very pleased with them. I use them for everything from packing clothes to keeping my camera dry on the water to hanging my food out of bears' reach. These bags are stellar.

Good Stuff Sack | |

This is a nice stuff sack and it is not completely waterproof. The closure is designed to keep out water and it does for the most part. Submerge it for a little while and it will let water in. All in all it is worth the buy just know what you're buying.

Perfect packing solution

| These sacks are great. Very well constructed. Closing system works fantastic allowing the bag to be quickly and easily opened while still keeping the contents secure. Soft interior lining affords protection to easily scratched items. Fantastic for organizing food and other supplies within daypack or 72 hour bag. Highly recommend. | |

Nice little sack | |

Great for humid environments, but not meant to be totally water proof. If your going to be getting really wet, I would not recommend this sack. If you are in a humid place or plan to cross a small stream or two this sack will do the job.

I bought a small and a medium and both worked great. They withstood several days of rain bungeed onto my motorcycle and kept everything perfectly dry. I was able to cram my sleeping bag into the medium but the tie off thingy broke.

| This is a great bag when you need to keep something dry. A negative is that water can get in through the opening at the top. I think a SN 240 stuff sack from Sea to summit would have done just as good of a job at a lower price. | |
