Ideal for bow storage in a kayak

Rating:*****
I bought one of these for the bow compartment of my Current Design Caribou S, and it's perfect! I've packed a number of different things into it (tent, sleeping bag + liner, small Thermarest pillow, clothing, etc.), and invariably it always fills up most of the forward-most space in my boat's bow storage compartment. I end up sliding my tent pole bag and tent stake bag above, and a bullet thermos underneath, this dry bag, to make maximum use of the small gaps that are left after loading this in.

My boat has a skeg box in the aft compartment, so the 35L taper isn't the best dry bag for boats with a similar configuration. I ended up getting two of the 20L tapers, and I wedge one in on each side of the skeg box, after first tucking an extra gas container and an old Thermarest + Compack Chair all the way aft.

Kayak packing heaven

Rating:*****
I finally splurged on a tapered dry bag after a few frustrating years of trying to maximize my kayak space for multi-day trips. These bags fit perfectly into the bow of my boat (Current Designes Scirocco) and are such an efficient use of space, my packing frustrations are over! You definitely do have to think through your system since you're not going to easily access what you've got stowed all the way in the tip of your kayak. But it is so worth it to have the extra room!

Works great in front of boat

Rating:*****
This drybag works well for making use of all the space in the front of a kayak. I use this bag for all my clothes and they stay safe and dry. The bag easily slides into a small forward hatch opening.
