Worked perfectly

Rating:*****
I use this standup paddleboarding and I keep my iPhone, keys and wallet in it. I've fallen in several times while wearing this and it did not leak. The company that makes it lists it as a "Level 2" waterproof pack (on their website) which, they state, means it is only waterproof for brief submersions. So I'm sure the people complaining about it leaking are right because they had it underwater for minutes at a time. But it stays dry if you just fall in and get out quickly. I'm totally happy with it and glad REI carries the product.

no regrets

Rating:*****
Mainly used for kayak fishing. Strong, reliable, no leaks. Once strapped around your waist, important things like wallet/phone/keys/camera will stay dry and won't be lost, even if you capsize. The only issue, which is minor, is that the strap can be uncomfortable and tends to "ride up" around your abdomen. However this is easily fixed once you thread it through the belt loops on your shorts. Great product.

Perfection

Rating:*****
I love this pack. I used it whitewater rafting, tubing, canoeing, and even just hauling some small items around (i.e. cell phone, wallet, keys, sunblock, chamois, sunglasses). When there is a chance of getting wet, make sure you bring this pack along with you. It will keep anything and everything inside dry as the sahara desert. It has worked fully submerged in water as well.

Great Pack for small items,

Rating:*****
This is a nice small but expandable waterproof hip pack. If you are canoeing and want your camera, snacks, compass, sunscreen and other small essentials close it is handy and really durable. You will never wear it out in your lifetime. You can pass this one on to your grandkids. SealLine has done it again. Must purchase.

Negative Reviews:

Not a waterproof dry bag.

Rating:**
I bought this to go along with my newly purchased kayak earlier this year. I bought it, thinking it would make for a decent, waterproof snack bag, but I ended up turning it into my kayak's ditch-bag. I loaded it up with essentials -- a space blanket, some pain relievers, an energy bar, some chemical warmers, a pocket knife -- and sealed it all up nice-and-tight, thinking they'd all stay nice and dry in this bag. Well, after getting a bunch of water in the cockpit of my boat and having this bag sit it that water for several hours (7 hours of paddling that day), I was disappointed to find it filled with salt water. This ruined a bunch of the items that were stashed in there and left the bag smelling like a medicinal energy bar. So, if you're looking for waterproof, this isn't your bag. If highly water-resistant will work for you, though, you'll likely be happy with this bag.

Water resistant NOT WATERPROOF!!

Rating:*
This bag will keep your stuff out of the elements and fairly dry BUT I had to do an impromptu rescue on a river when a couple of kids tumbled out of their kayak. I was in the water for about 10-15 minutes in shoulder high water with the bag attached, solidly cinched down yet submerged...when I finally got out of the water..my lunch, snacks, notepad, etc were all totally drenched. So dont trust it with anything that you value as it maybe water resistant to a point but definitely not waterproof. I would return my two now if I could.

NOT Waterproof, Destroyed my Camera!

Rating:*
I enclosed my camera as described thinking it was waterproof but it is not. It is only water resistant.
Not worth it for the price.
