I replaced a octalink FSA carbon with the Shimano R700. WOW> I wanted to go with a compact as I expect to biking up passes in Colorado. I didnt expect such crisp shifts and stout bb. I also installed a DA bottom bracket and together I got a very smooth and stout crank. I didnt expect my rear cassette to shift better but it does! I havent even tweaked the chain length yet nor my front derailer, just installed it and pedaled! | |

This is a great crank especially for the price. I replaced my Dura Ace 7800 standard crank to help me complete the California Death Ride and had absolutely no problems. Shimano makes the best compact crank chain rings period. They shift much better than FSA or Truvativ. I considered getting the new Dura Ace 7900 crank but I can't imagine it's worth and extra $500 over this one. | |

I replaced a Sram carbon crank with this crank and dura ace bottom bracket. I find it to feel more stiff and feel that power tansfer is better. Install was easy. Price was great. Looks good on my Kuota and blends well with my ultegra set up. I highly recomend this crank. In fact a friend just ordered one as well | |

This crank is just incredible!! It is a compact crank, which really helped me increase my cadence,(which is what I wanted to do!) but also grants you power to scoot up any hill easily! Also, due to the hollowtech technology, this powerhouse crank is quite light! excellent value!!!! | |

I was a little reluctant to make the switch but glad I did. Smooth shifting and much better chainline lets me use more of the 10 speed cassette. I am riding faster with little to no noticeable increase in effort since I switched to 175mm length. GREAT price!!!! | |

I purchased this crankset because Shimano did not produce a Dura Ace compact and was very pleased with the finish and quality of this crank. It is MUCH better than the "other" brand compact I had on the bike. And the price($99) was unbeatable. | |
