Smartwool Socks are the Best Socks in the World.

Seriously. I am a total convert to SmartWool socks. I know the price tag is high but my feet have felt so much better -- winter or summer, hiking shoes or fancy boots -- since I started wearing these socks. This is the first time I'd purchased a pair of hiking socks by SmartWool but I have been infinitely pleased with them. I like how they are "lightweight" but still thick and cushiony. I can wear them in warmer weather but still have lots of padding in my sock and around the ankle. I have a very bad left ankle and any extra padding around it is much appreciated when wearing my hiking boots.

COZY socks!!!

These are my first pair of smartwool's after several recommendations from other people who wear them. They are worth spending the money on because they are so comfortable, warm, and cute! They hug my feet all day long and don't get stretched out over multiple washes. The wool on these socks are high quality and will last for a long time it seems. I will be purchasing more... I already bought some for the husband and mother. :)

These hiking socks were wonderful for my trip to the jungle of Belize, Central America! Very comfortable from the start, dried quickly, held up well. Felt great inside my hiking boots, kept my feet happy for climbing to the top of Mayan ruins, and long walks through the slippery mud of the jungle. I also have some thinner Smartwool socks for everyday, and have been happy with them also.

Great for Day Hiking!

I used these while hiking in the Rockies! Would say they are sized a little big. Ordered child size that said up to size 6.5 I wear a 7.5 and these fit perfect. I like my hiking socks tight though, if they are too loose I find I get blisters easier. Also warm and comfy for every day wear around the house in winter.

Perfect Weight!

I like the warmth and wicking capability of wools socks, but I don't always want the bulk. In my opinion, SmartWool found just the right balance with these socks. They're warm, but they don't make me wish I'd bought a bigger size hiking boot. Pair them with sock liners, if you're worried about blisters, and you have a great little system for happy feet.

Little things count

I'm an old hippie turned Dad. I just gave a pair of these particular socks to my (tear here) adult daughter who's off to hike the world. She is a former varsity athlete at Michigan, who somehow missed Smart Wool socks. Nobody told her, so I gave her these socks and now she loves them. Do the right thing, nurture good locally.

So warm and comfy

The quality of wool on these smartwool's is awesome. The fit stays true throughout the day... they don't become baggy and loose. Also, they hold up across washings (so far). The color hasn't faded one bit. They are sooo warm and cozy. They fit well in my shoes and boots... they aren't too bulky. Overall great sock... I would recommend to anyone.

Perfectly Comfortable

I had three pairs of these to hike 700 miles this past summer and fall and I love them. They are a little more stretched out now than when I started, but they still feel great. I used liner socks with them because I am slightly allergic to wool and it worked fine. I never had a blister.

These are expensive but worth it! Smartwool socks are comfortable and cushiony. They make your feet feel better on any hike or long walk. The best thing is that they make them in small sizes so those of us with little feet are not always having the heels of the socks up on the back of your feet!

Only socks I'll hike in!

I have about 5-6 pairs of these hiking socks and they're amazing! Not too bulky that your feet feel cramped but warm enough for fall and early spring hiking. They keep my feet dry in the heat of the summer too. They are so good a wicking moisture, you don't have to wear liner socks!
