| I also have the MSR Whisperlite and the MSR Pocket rocket stove. This stove is my favorite. I mostly use my Whisperlite when car camping because of its weight and size. For the past 3 years my Pocket Rocket has been my stove of choice. This stove is liter than the Pocket Rocket, more compact, about 4000 BTU's hotter and simmers better than both the Whisperlite and the P-Rocket. The flame is nice and broad especialy when compared to the P-Rocket. Awesome choice where size and weight matter (and when is it really bad to have something small and lite?). The con would be its stability. But thats true with pretty much any Butane stove since the fuel canister is your base. This stove is more stable, though, than the P-Rocket. By the way I do love the Pocket Rocket. I just love this stove more. | |

| Stove performed AMAZINGLY. A buddy of mine had a Brunton stove and his was able to boil water very slightly faster, but the stability of this stove was unmatched. Using this stove daily for 2 weeks on a hiking trip in southern Canada made life just a little bit easier. I have not used any other stoves but this one gets an A- in my book. The only thing that would have given me a bit more convenience would have been a self igniter. Flicking the flint of a lighter worked just fine with no problems ever lighting the stove, but it was just one more thing to remember come dinner time. No complaints and super compact and light!! held small tea kettle and larger pot full of 2 Liters of water perfectly. | |

| I purchased this stove along with some other snow peak products for a camping road trip in my Porsche, where cargo space is limited. I like the power and versatility of larger liquid stoves like the MSR Dragonfly, but went with the Snow Peak based on it's amazingly small size and simple construction. So far, the stove has performed flawlessly. It is easy to install and remove from the fuel canisters, lights easily, and seems to have plenty of power for cooking quickly. My only gripe is that I wish there was a heat reflector available for this stove, as is available for the Snow Peak Gigapower. I think it will be easy to rig up a simple heat shield though. | |

| This is a great stove. If you are looking for a stove to heat water for meals, this is the stove for you. It fits inside the Trek 700 Ti pot with a fuel canister. It is so much quieter than my dragonfly stove. I now can cook by others again without the noise of the blow torch. I like how small it is 1.9 oz. But don't let the small size fool you. It will boil water fast and also simmer well. This system will cut my stove size and weight a lot. It is also more fuel efficient than my MSR stove, less fuel to bring. | |

| This is the smallest and hottest little stove I have. I also have a optimus nova, but the lite max is just so easy to put in your pocket and take with you. I bring it out ice fishing and boil up a pot of coffee and it works good on colds windy lakes, but I try my best to shelter it from the wind. The canisters are very easy to attach, I don't feel like I'm going to break it when I have to take the canister off. It's just so easy to operate, I highly recommend this to anyone not just a friend. | |

| I've used both the MSR Pocket Rocket and the LiteMax and, while both are great little products, I think I prefer the LiteMax. Though the increase in BTUs are a plus, it comes down to the size for me. I can easily pack my LiteMax into my two person cook set with a 220g fuel canister while the Pocket Rocket is just too long and bulky for it. The downside is that it's not too stable but that's the case for most canister stoves. Highly recommended. | |

| I recently got this for my birthday and it is amazing. I also own the MSR Pocket Rocket, and this stove blows it out of the water. It is lighter, packs smaller, and puts out more heat than the PR. I haven't used it enough to determine how well it does in high wind or cold weather, but no canister stoves are great in these conditions. I would recommend this stove to anyone and everyone that is looking for an ultra-light stove. Simply the best!! | |

| I used this stove on a recent trip and loved it. It was easy to light even in 45mph winds with spark from flint. It stayed lit even in high wind gusts but I would recommend a wind shield to help direct heat for faster cooking. I felt it was very stable for it's size with a 2qt pot on top even while using it inside a tent. I found no problem screwing it on and off the fuel canisters. | |

| Replaced a alcohol stove. This stove is soooo light, efficient well made. It takes less than 6 minutes to boil 1.7 ltr pot compared to 20 minutes with alcohol. Because this stove is so efficient it uses less fuel. Make sure to get the right pot to go with stove. | |

Very Difficult to Attach and Remove | |

| The system was much lighter and more compact than my Jetboil stove. It is not as fuel efficient but this is not an issue until you have to pack a second canister. The boil time and the pot stability are acceptable. It functions well above 10K feet. It does not function well in wind without a windscreen. The deal breaker was installing and removing it from the canister. The last couple of revolutions to seal the connection were very difficult and unscrewing it after use was almost impossible. I am afraid that applying that much force to that tiny little stove is going to break it leaving me in the back country without a stove. The problem was not canister specific and has not improved with time. | |
