SnowClaw Backcountry Snow Shovel Reviews:

Indespensible in back country

I just purchased another Snow Claw. This time as a gift for someone. I love my Snow Claw. Fits in my pack easily, is light weight and is very versatile. I've used it for digging seats and caves in the snow and for sitting on. Anyone venturing to the back country should have one in their pack. It could save a life. (avalanche rescue)

Cool, but not so durable.

I liked the idea of idea of this product but after using it, I found that it doesn't hold up well. There are "knit lines" in the shovel from molding that over time, will weaken and break. Especially in the cold. I don't advise bending it like a splint unless necessary. Overall though, it works well and itsn't much to carry around.

Not the color shown in the ad

Your ad showed yellow with black trim. I received black with yellow trim. I was a tad disappointed--I thought the yellow would make a good signal in case of trying to signal an airplane for rescue...
and it just looked cool.

Excellent winter pack addition.

Moves a lot of snow quickly. It is lightweight and fits easily in or on a pack so taking it along as a precaution while backcountry skiing or snowshoeing is a no-brainer.

Slick!

Works great for digging caves and slips inside my ski pack perfectly.
