Positive Reviews:

VERY NICE!!

Rating:*****
I have heard mixed reviews about the F80. I took several months trying machines and investigating them. The F80 has all the best reviews and "Best Buy" ratings on the net. My only concern was the tread length of 55 inches. After trying it at the store and logging several miles I do not slip off the end or feel the last roller. I am 5'11" and it is perfect. It comes with a heart monitor that is very cool and accurate compared to the hand monitors wich it has as well. Very quiet, smooth, and easy to use.

I Made An Excellent Choice

Rating:*****
I researched treadmills for months before I pulled the trigger. I viewed all of the web sites, and went into countless stores. This product gave me the best features & warranty at the best price. Sure, I could have spent a little less, but the motor would have been smaller, the warranty would have be weaker and the weight capacity would have been less. If you are in a place where I was 4 months ago (trying to decide which treadmill to buy) I'm telling you, the Sole F80 is an outstanding product.

#1 Treadmill under $2000

Rating:*****
I am 5'10, 245 lbs. I have tried most treadmills under $2000. This treadmill was by far the sturdiest and most comfortable. My family has used it daily for two months and it feels like brand new. No problems whatsoever. While walking I have phone conversations on it, and the people I am talking with, cannot believe I am on a treadmill! By the way, this is the exact treadmill Hilton and other hotels use for their rooms. I strongly recommend this treadmill!

Great buy

Rating:*****
Only had this for two weeks but we are incredibly happy so far. My wife and I are both tall, she is 5'10" and I'm 6'2" and it is plenty long enough. She walks and I run and we are both happy. I was going to spend the extra to get the 60" deck but it is not necessary for us anyway.[...]

What you see is what you get

Rating:****
Just was it says on advertizement. Easy set up, sturdy, quiet, easy to use. An excellent machine. Makes you want to use it. Health club/professional gym quality. Only (minor) complaint is that you have to click the controls each time to raise/lower speed/height. Would be better if the controls were touch sensitive. But not a deal breaker.

Solid Treadmill for the Everyday User

Rating:****
Very happy with the Sole F80. I'm a 5-6 day a week user that appreciates the sturdy well built feel of this treadmill. [...] assembly took about an hour. I would recommend this model to anyone considering a mid-level priced unit.

Very Impressed

Rating:*****
I use this treadmill daily. It has a wide range of uses and seems to be very durable. It's easy to assemble and it's operation is very quiet. It comes with a lot of accessories and a lot of controls.

Negative Reviews:

Nothing but problems

Rating:**
Purchased the F-80 [...] in December of 2008 and have had many problems. I had to return the console because the display was faulty. The replacement console had cracks in the housing. A burst of static electricity fried both arm controls and fan along with more console display issues. A technician had to adjust the incline arms because the unit kept grinding. All of this in 3 months. The machine is sturdy but does not appear to be dependable. Waiting for my 4th console in 3 months. Sole customer service is relatively quick but I am an unhappy customer. I expected more quality from a [$] treadmill. This is the first treadmill I have ever purchased and I did not know what to look for. I assumed price meant quality and features. Now that I am familiar with the F-80 I think the features on this treadmill are redundant and elementary.

Great Treadmill but hard as a rock

Rating:***
Use it at least 5 times a week. Very quiet, good controls, sturdy. My only complaint is that my knees and hips feel like they've been abused. Not what I would call a cushion flex deck, it's hard as a rock...no give.
