Runners' and walkers' feet have two demands: stability and shock absorption. And when your feet don't get their demands met, you'll feel it in pain and fatigue. SorboElite is the first and only insole to satisfy both of these needs.
Stability is achieved through proper alignment of the foot throughout the gait cycle.
Superior shock absorption is provided only by Sorbothane insoles, because only Sorbothane absorbs up to 94.7% of impact shock.
Finally your feet can enjoy the stabilizing stride-correcting benefits of an orthotic with the pain and injury reduction offered by the unrivaled shock absorption of a Sorbothane insole.
Sorbothane Energy Core provides maximum energy return for the most efficient toe-off while adding shock absorption and comfort to forefoot.
Smooth Fiber Fabric Top Cover keeps feet cool and dry by reducing friction and wicking moisture.
Polyethylene Foam Layer features a solid-membrane construction for incredible stability and surprising comfort along the entire foot.
Ribbed Orthotic offers a neutral arch, which properly aligns the foot with firm yet comfortable support. Encourages proper pronation for efficient stride, reducing fatigue and pain. Recommended for flat, over-pronating, or neutral foot types.

Runners review of Sorbathane Elite Insert - I am a high mileage runner, I had foot surgery 7 months ago to remove a nueroma, the Sorbathane Elite provides maximum cushion for the foot. They fit beautifully into both Asics and Brooks running shoes. I highly recommend these inserts for anyone looking for additional cushioning in there shoes!

Good Insole - I've used Sorbothane insoles in the past and I find that they work very well in preventing shin splints. I have a pair in all of my running shoes. Definitely a necessity for me!

They're great, but buy them before you need them. Could have probably prevented these shin splints if I bought these BEFORE I had problems. These are great insoles and I recommend highly.

SorboElite - This insole is very similar to the Superfeet insole only with significantly more cushioning. It offers good support, breathability and comfort.

I expected less bang for the buck. I wear a women's 9 AA (narrow), and these insoles fit my just-bought New Balance 992W sneakers with no cramming--impressive. However, the rigidity of the orange arch/heel area cut down on the cushioning ability of my new shoes. If you are looking for pure motion control and less cushion, especially on the heel, these might be the insoles for you. I had some significant pain after wearing the shoes for a workday using these insoles; but had no pain using my old insoles in the same shoes. Even allowing for break-in time, these insoles never got comfortable to my narrow, bony feet. I also docked stars from "Look" because they had a sharp vinegar odor for the first two days of wear. While it did (mostly) clear up with time, foot odor is not a usual problem for me so I was dismayed.

On the fence - I don't know if the cost is worth it, yet. I bought these while having trouble with hip joint pain and the PT suggested it since I work on concrete. I wear size 7 1/2 shoe, but bought the 6/7 size. They do fit, but don't be put off by another review saying they can't be cut to size. I wonder if the heel would have felt better if I did since it feels like the cushion in the heel isn't level. It is more on the inside and I've worn down my heels toward the outside. I wonder if I made a mistake, but haven't been back to work due to pain for over a month.

SorboElite Vs. Superfeet - Bought these to compare to Green Superfeet for running. I've always thought Superfeet could use a bit more fore-foot cushioning so I tried these out. And yes, the cushioning felt good, but the mold of the Superfeet has a much deeper heel-bed and after trying the SorboElites, I went back to the Superfeet the next day to compare. Superfeet still rule in my personal opinion. And because of the design, the fore-foot felt just as, if not more, comfy. These are great for regular wear. But for running, I'm sticking with the Superfeet.

This is my first experience with Sorbothane insoles and I am still trying to determine if they are the cause of lower back pain the day after I run. Otherwise, I find them to be most comfortable and supportive. I especially like the pocket-like indenture for my heel that seemingly prevents my foot from lateral movement.\r\n\r\nPerhaps my lower back discomfort is resultant of any number of 68 year old causes. That being the case, I enthusiastically endorse these insoles.
