| Sperry Top-Sider Blue Point Venetian - Before I ordered these, I read all 11 reviews. They were all so positive; I went ahead and bought them from Zappos. If you read all the other reviews first, I will make a couple of helpful comments after having worn these eight hours a day for the past week with thin dress socks at work. First, the insoles ARE removable. One writer said they are not. The pigskin lining on the insole that Zappos describes is fairly thin and does absorb a bit of sweat, unlike a harder, thicker leather insole. But the trade-off is that they are supremely comfortable and they dry quickly with no left over odor. The older version is tumbled leather with a nylon lined aegis anti-microbial hydrophonic insole. Zappos offers the newer version of tan in the smooth tan leather upper with the pigskin lining - a little dressier. The brown is still nice tumbled leather also with the pigskin insole. Second, there is no raised, perforated arch. I have a pair of Dockers Catalinas that have the arch and a leather insole, and I cannot tell the difference. At first I was afraid these would lack any arch support and be more like a driver. But much to my surprise, somehow they do. I do not need allot of support, but if you do, there is ample room to take out the factory insole and use any orthotic. Third, the inside is what is called unconstructed. This means the leather is not smooth lined. It is simply the "unfinished" rough part of the other side of the leather upper. This is hard to see in the photos. The advantage is that it is less stiff and takes a very nice natural shape to your foot with only a small departure from the toe shape. Remember, this is primarily a casual shoe. Last, another writer said the famous Sperry Sider boat soles squeak on smooth floors. Mine only squeaked for two days. I love these with thin socks with khakis, jeans or in bare feet with shorts. They are very true to size. If you wear a medium crew sock, they will probably stretch in a short time, but you will not be able to go back to a thin sock and may have too much room in bare feet. Plan on a thin dress sock with these. I prefer a little shinier and smooth leather shoe for wear with dress slacks with combination leather, rubber sole. But for all other occasions, I bought the tan ones, too, I like them so much. And thanks again for your outstanding, friendly service. I'm not a fan of penny loafers, and these have the moc toe without the penny slot. Perfect! | |

| Great fit with bare feet or dress socks - I bought these shoes to wear to work. I wanted shoes that looked nice with a pair of dress slacks but were still comfortable enough to wear every day and walk around a lot. Overall, the shoes are great. They are very comfortable and they look good with slacks (a little better with jeans, actually). The only downside is that when I ordered my normal size, they wound up fitting perfectly with dress socks but they were a little too snug with regular socks. So if I wear jeans, I have to wear dress socks. I wound up stocking up on cooler dress socks as a result. I've heard there are thinner "running socks" which look like regular socks. And if you're wondering, you can still see the socks in the corners when you stand up, too. After seeing the box, I realized they're "boat shoes" and not made for wearing any socks which explains why I had to buy my old "boat shoes" a half size larger. What, people don't wear socks on boats? As for Zappos.com - I spent more time trying to figure out which shoes to buy (3 days) than I did waiting for my order to arrive (about 20 hours). Zappos is awesome. Oh yeah, and they squeeze a little on tiled floors. | |

| Very comfortable shoe. I ordered these mostly to wear to work. They also looked like they would be easy for my shoe maker to build up. I need my right shoe higher than the left by about 1". He was able to take off the heel and sole, build up the shoe and reattach the heel and sole. The shoes are very light and comfortable like most of the Sperry line. I also have the Gold Cup 2 eye boat shoe which I didn't build up. Those are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. These loafers are a little less casual but you can still wear them with jeans. And the zappos service was fast. | |

| I bought these for my husband. He just loves them. He says they feel slippers but give support. He wore them to a function that requiring standing for eight straight hours and said his feet felt great at the end of the day. Apparently they have more cushioning than traditional boat shoes. As always Zappos is the best! Super fast delivery, an extremely helpful user friendly site and free returns. Other online retailers could learn a lot from Zappos. | |

| Ladies like them, too! I wear a 10.5 women's wide shoe, so I often buy mens shoes because they are more available and fit better! These are very comfortable but will need to stretch just a bit on my wider foot. I suspect they will stretch to fit my foot over time, and hope to be able to fit the orthotics in them soon, though the comfortable fit and walk are worth the wait! | |

| Goes with anything - I love these shoes! Sperry Top Siders are _the_ casual shoe for comfort. If I'm in a hurry to a party or to an outing, I just slip these on with jeans/khakis and a polo and I'm set. They are so versatile, awesome! No socks, and my feet still don't get sweaty, I think it has something to do with their cushioning system. | |

| Socks or not, you cant go wrong - These shoes offer that casual style that goes great with either chinos or jeans. They can go from the day job to the night life. Leather is soft and supple and feels great without socks. The insole feels great and offers plenty of cushion, but is not removable. | |

| Elegant and comfortable - These updated "topsiders" are very comfortable and my son wore them to a very dressy event where they looked extremely stylish and he received compliments on them. They also have better arch support than expected. He is very pleased with them and now my husband wants a pair. NICE shoes! | |

| Super Satisfied - I've owned the Blue Point Venetians for a couple of months now. They are wonderful. They're comfortable, relatively light and I love their appearance. The soles have some resiliency and traction in the wet. In fact I've just ordered another pair to have when my first pair wears out. | |

| I ordered these for my husband. He wanted shoes to go with chinos, and they had to be COMFORTABLE right out of the box. He walked around the room a few times, and then he wore them the next day. He's picky about shoes, so that says a lot!! | |
