This is my 2nd pair of these shoes. They're durable, comfortable. The more beat up they are, the better they look. The soles of these shoes are not typical Top-Sider soles. I don't think they're very good for use as deck shoes, but they are very comfortable and have a great casual look. The only downside of these shoes, as was the case with the 1st pair I owned, is that when new, the leather dye will come off on your feet. It washes off easily but I recommend wearing socks until they're broken in and the dye doesn't come off. Unless, of course, you don't mind dirty feet. :)

A Big Fan of Sperry Shoes - Over the years, I have always enjoyed the look and feel of a Sperry Shoe. In the area I live in the Midwest, it is difficult to find outlets that sell the product. When I found Zappo's, I was pleased to see such a wonderful selection and was thrilled with the online purchasing process. I need a wide fit and that in itself can present some buying problems. The shoes arrived even earlier than originally indicated. Sperry an Zappo's..that is a very nice combination. R.D. Welch...

Awesome Shoe - I liked this shoe so much, ordered a second pair. Well-made. Comfortable. Looks good dressed-up or dressed down. More comforatable than original Sperry Topersider boatshoes--but still has traditional, gentlemanly appearance. Have read other reviews regarding staining and have not had that problem at all. First, one should wear never white socks with this type of shoe, unless you are a nerd. Second, this shoe is best worn without socks to begin with--unless you are a nerd. So basically this not a shoe for nerds. Highly recommend this shoe to non-nerds.

Great purchase - I bought these shoes for my husband as a gift for Valentine's Day and he loves them. He has a wide foot and it is hard to find his size in a shoe that he actually likes and looks good. I didn't really want the two tone but he told me that he liked having both colors as to wear with his black or brown slacks. So, he is happy and I am happy which means we will be a return customer. Thanks.

Outstanding Top Sider - I bought these shoes for business trips. I wanted something comfortable, casual yet with class, and would look good with tan or black pants, socks or no socks. These are great all around shoes! The first few wearings you'll notice black die stains on socks or bare feet, but I suspect that will diminish with time. So far, I love them.

Great Shoe! In trying to "graduate" my husband into a more adult shoe for work, (he wears Vans continually because they're so comfortable), I bought him a pair of these many years ago. He wore them out, so I am now replacing them! He still wears his Vans a lot, but at least he has an alternative shoe for more important meetings at work!

They shredded the backs of my ankles a little bit, but they are almost fully broken in now (I'd say a break-in time of about three or four days). I didn't get any of the dye rub-off that about 90% of every other review on here mentions. They are extremely comfortable and very stylish, but still subtle. A class-act, all the way.

I have owned serveral pairs of Sperrys over the years and have always been pleased with their quality and the way they fit me. I would reccomend them for anyone who wants a really comfortable shoe. I am a high milage runner and Sperry along with Dexter and Rockport are about the only street shoes that suit me.

This is my second pair of these shoes. The first ones were so comfortable that I wore them out! These are very versatile, but I usually wear them with jeans. They are particularly useful in the rain, since they are water/deck shoes. You will need to break these in a bit, a little stiff at first.

Happy with my choice - This is the first Sperry shoe I've owned with this sole - a nicely finished black synthetic material. For me, the biggest attraction is that it keeps my feet dry in damp conditions, and continues to look good after wet days without any extra attention.
