Based on the already-superior designof SRAM Force, the Red offering delivers even greater advantagesthanks to a diet of structural carbon and titanium. Hybrid ceramicbearing pulleys wheels and titanium parallelogram pivot bearing refinements further supercharge the overall component speed, accuracy, and durability. Amazingly, these design choices yield an astonishing153 gram mechanism.

SRAM's Red Rear Derailleur does the nearly impossible: it improves on the practically flawless SRAM Force derailleur design, lightening it by 20g and adding ceramic bearings for icy smooth shifts. Ceramic bearings love to hang out with other high-end materials, so SRAM invited carbon fiber to the cage and inner link, and went titanium on the parallelogram spring. Lighter, smoother, quicker and sleeker, with enough flexibility to run a 28t low cog and reach that accommodates both compact and standard cranksets, the SRAM Red Rear Derailleur is the new uber-benchmark by which aspiring components measure their greatness.
