The SRAM X.0 Rear Derailleur can read your mind. Just think about shifting and BAM—you’re in the right gear. SRAM routed the cable directly into the X.0 Derailleur’s actuation mechanism to ensure precise and quick shifting without excess friction or weight. The X.0’s shifting pawl is always engaged for Zero Loss Travel, and 1:1 Actuation moves the derailleur one gear for every unit of cable pulled or released. The result? Quick, effortless, and reliable shifting, time and time again.

tough but not cheap... | |

While I am a advocate of the cheaper X9 version, I have a X.o on my DH rig and am super happy with it... other than the normal risk of bashing it, The xo is wickedly durable, the thing is tough and requires little adjusting. The price tag is high but you get what you pay for. One of my favorite things about the sram derailleurs is the way the cable is routed into it. rather than have a big loop (like on the shimano's)the cable routes directly into the unit, so there is virtually no chance of you catching your cable loop on some near by stick or snag.

Sweet looking rig | |

I've been running this on my XC bike for about 7 months now and it is flawless! Shifting is spot on and crisp, the X.0 works great in all conditions and the cool looking factor is way up there. I'll say the X.9 rear derailleur works every bit as good as the X.0 but it is 27 grams heavier and doesn't have the "ooh-ah" factor that carbon fiber does - but either way you go you'll be happy with the performance and reliability of SRAM ;)

I have the SRAM X.0 derailleur on my full suspension ride and I absolutely love it. Super quick shifting, no bouncing, no skipping ... I've had my Yeti for two seasons and I've hardly had to adjust this thing. The only thing that took a bit to get used to was the way SRAM's shifters work: you push for both up and down shifting. But it doesn't take long. The X.0 kicks ass. Highly highly recommended. Make the switch from Shimano. You won't regret it.

Strong, Crisp, and Light!

My X.0 is absolutely ridiculous crisp when it comes to shift feeling. I can't get enough of it. Super light at only 192g, and the carbon cage is the most durable thing on the market. Everyone thinks it's not durable because it's light weight, but I dare them to compare a cheap plastic or flimsy aluminum cage in an impact to an insanely strong carbon one. Crisp precise shifting, super strong and light weight, what else would you want?

If you can afford it, buy it! I don't put these on my DH rig (I use X9) because I crush derailleurs like Mr. T ... but on my all-mountain setup, this "Ferrari of shifters" keeps all 9 speeds shifting smooth as silk.
