Stamina Products SpaceMate Folding Stepper

Fitness > Steppers & RowersRated: *** by 12 reviews.

Sports Authority

Stamina's SpaceMate(r) Folding Stepper not only gives a great low-impact, calorie burning, cardiovascular workout, but tones the calves, buttocks, thighs, and hips, too. The SpaceMate Folding Stepper gives a workout comparable to the larger more expensive stepper workouts, yet with the pull of a pin the SpaceMate Folding Stepper folds and rolls for easy storage and portability.

Positive Reviews:

Great Machine for the Money

Rating:*****
I bought this machine to assist me in my training for an upcoming marathon. I can honestly say this machine is well worth the low price. Contrary to the previous review, I find this a very sturdy machine. Step counter works fine - of course you have to complete a step to measure a count. However, I don't have to hit solid bottom for the counter to work. All buttons work absolutely fine. Perhaps previous reviewer didn't assemble correctly. I have this settled on an exercise mat in my basement, and works wonderful. I have strengthened my leg muscles immensely from this machine. You can adjust your workout to to crouch down on the handles and it's similar to a cycling workout. Definitely a buy I do not regret.

Big on value, small on price

Rating:*****
I hated working out until I bought this machine. It was set up in a store so I tried it out and liked it a lot. I've enjoyed being able to set it up and work out while I watch tv as the time flies by. I've read some bad reviews, but mine has been extremely quiet, good for the money, and i've noticed improvements in my thighs and rear after using it a few times. I use it 5 days a week now and sometimes twice a day. For the money it can't be beat.

Negative Reviews:

tolerable stepper

Rating:**
This is a good stepper if you are a patient person, willing to tolerate its flimsy, inadequate digital counter. The Step Counter only counts if you step so low that the stepper hits the bottom bar, the Calorie Counter will not show on my display, and the Mode & Reset buttons broke completely off the first time I pushed them. I will keep this stepper b/c it's a good size for the price. (i.e. It allows a full range step like the bigger machines do.) I will just have to use a separate clock to time my workouts.

poor quality

Rating:*
I had to replace one of the shocks right out of the box. This took two weeks to get the replacement. I used it three times and on the fourth the hardware keeps falling out and now the main pivot point is broken. Don't waste your money. spend a little more for quality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
