Overall a good buy

Rating:****
I wanted to get a sturdy table that was easy to move around for use at our vacation home. We wanted to keep it in the garage and use it there or out on the driveway, so ease of transport was critical. I bought it on sale at $220 off list price. No one has tables set up in their stores anymore since they take up so much room, so I had to gather as much information as I could online. The previous reviews were pretty accurate. The table weighs a ton, but two people can handle it. It took me about 45 minutes to assemble it. All of the parts were included, and the instructions were adequate. There were only two problems. One of the tops had a chip (1" x 1/8") on the edge that meets the other top. Since this was directly under the net, didn't affect play and I was 150 miles from the store I bought it at, I decided to let it be. I'll touch it up with a blue felt tip pen. The other problem was that there was a hole missing in the metal apron that the plastic corner guards are supposed to attach to. I drilled a hole to make that work. The table plays great and is easy to move around.

Table tennis, not ping pong

Rating:****
The set-up is not 10 minutes box to play as advertised and the instructions to assemble it were challenging. However, once the table was assembled and ready for play it performed very adequately. I am a tournament level player accustomed to playing on much more expensive tables and this one has a consistent bounce and feel that will allow many, many hours of good practice. The playback feature isn't something I will use as it isn't helpful to a looping playing style that I play; it does work well when I connect my robot and practice multi-ball drills. I don't understand the concerns about scratching, one should not be rubbing the ball or other objects on the playing surface. I did upgrade the net and posts. This table is perfect for recreational players as well as a practice table for USATT rated players but it is not a tournament level table.

Sweet Table

Rating:*****
I did some major reasearch on tables and found this one to be the best for the cost and my use.Set up is tough as many have noted but well worth the time. It folds up easily and rolls with the push of one finger.Very sturdy table but the blue does ware off easily. That doesn't bother me at all. Half play is great but it does have a 3" gap so balls will sometimes fall through table. This should not be a problem with players with more skill then me.( that won't take much). If you have the room and time for setup, this is your table. [$] is a steal.

Great Table but Set Up / Brackets Wrong

Rating:****
Fantastic Table! However, two initial hurdles you may face. First, instructions are HORRIBLE. You'll throw your back out trying to lift the hundred pound table halves, align perfectly, and drop into the tubular supports which they suggest you place on the floor. Answer: Lay the TABLE face down on the floor. Align the eight pound tubular supports, and drop in place onto the resting table, rather than the other way around. DUH! [...] Second, elbow brackets are installed in reverse! Won't fold up for storage. Had to remove and reverse (left for right), unscrewing and prying bracket off without damage (they glued it too!). Quality Control? [...]

10 minute set-up - very misleading!

Rating:****
Took 2 hours for 3 people to set-up. Box won't fit in largest SUVs - need a pick-up or good roof rack and ratchet straps, which Dicks sells. Staff was very helpful in helping load process. If you are not tool-handy and/or don't have large vehicle/rack, pay the extra for delivery and set-up - seemed high but I ended up wishing I had done it. Good sturdy table once its up

Nice Blue Table

Rating:****
Set up wasn't a hassle at all, although it did take about 2 hours. I choose this table because of its blue surface and nice, sturdy build--and it did fulfill my expectations. The net, however, was a disappointment, as it consisted of a flimsy plastic sheet that is normally used for lower standard tables; I just expected a little more. But all in all, it's a good table.

Table for a Lifetime

Rating:****
Bought it this weekend and am so pleased. Sure it was heavy - thanks speaks to it's durability. Assembly went off with out a hitch - 1 to 2 hours. This ain't your parents ping pong table. I expect many years of pinging around with this one.

Mixed Bag

Rating:**
[...]The carton is extremely heavy and took two fairly strong men and a dolly to get inside the house. The set up process is not difficult but it does take 2+ hours and, at one point, three people to assemble. A set of sockets is also a good idea, but the nut sizes listed in the instructions are not correct and you will just have to find the right size. The table is relatively sturdy and stable upon final assembly but the blue paint on the surface is very cheap and easily transferred to a sweaty hand or damp cleaning cloth. The corner guards snapped into place ok but are loose and wobbly. My biggest complaint is that one of the forward corners of one board was a good 1/2 inch above the playing surface and takes some tightening of the net lock to push down and level out. Opponent play is good with a good bounce to the table. Single practice with one side of the table up is a hassle as the upended part of the table leaves a good 4 inch gap for your low shots to hit the back of the net and fall through. With both table sides up this does store as easily as any thing that large could. The wheels do roll smoothly to get the table out of the way, but, only two wheels lock and the table will roll on the other two, take care with that.

brackets came wrong

Rating:***
It is a very good table, but all of my comments are going to be about the bad things. It is heavy and awkward to carry, but heavy=sturdy (that is why it is both a pro and con) Assembly was a mess but better than some of my previous tables; some of the pages were missing and we had to use the spanish side Some parts of the table came assembled, but the brackets came messed up: one was correct, but the other three are backwards. We could switch two so that they are right, but we would just have to modify it anyway. My brother decided to rub a ping-pong ball on the table to check for cracks and the paint came off of the table onto the ball, so the ball has a blue spot and the table does not
