Cold wind and rain are no match for the Sugoi Zap Helmet Cover. Reflective hits add visibility for extra safety on dark and cool late-season rides, and a little spandex makes sliding this cover over your helmet a cinch.

Excellent

I bought this a couple of months ago just to add a waterproofing layer to my cycle helmet for use in the rain and snow, and to keep the wind off. I'd not used a cover before, but so far this seems to be an excellent one. I chose it for the stretch material which is shaped to fit a generic helmet, but this means that it should fit any particular model with ease, and indeed it fits mine perfectly. I also like the fact that it can accommodate a peak (with a bit of pulling, but it is actually shaped for this). I've yet to see how durable it is, but the manufacturing quality seems very good and the reflective panels work well. Highly recommended.

Possible Warning

It's a great product for what it's designed for- but I have one word of caution. The top of the helmet is lined with a low friction material that allows it to slide along the pavement. There are two types of crashes, crashes where you slide and ones where you stick. Crashes where you stick are the most dangerous because it sends back all of the force into the body. The head is the one thing you don't want sticking to the ground. Covering the helmet can take away from this characteristic and may increase the chance of a stick landing.

A Very Good Product

A definite must-have for those foul-weather rides. Acts as barrier to the head against precipitation that could affect the rider. Got the yellow for high-visibility. Used on pouring 55°F rain and it kept my head virtually dry and a bit toasty. The only downside to note is that it takes extra effort to put it in place on a helmet that is a bit bigger in size.

Would recommend it to anyone.

Great for commuting all year round

I would include this on my list of commuting musts if you ride to work and care what you look like when you get there. I ride my bike almost everywhere in NYC, this protects your hair and your head from rain, wind, cold or snow. The reflective design adds visibility at nighttime. And I've even received compliments on it from other cyclists.

Works just like it is supposed to

Fits great; works great; very good visibility. Only suggestion would be a place to stick a flashing light on in the back.

IT WORKS!!

Works great! It appears to be waterproof. I've used it twice in the rain 20+ min. rides. Dry-head!!! FITS OVER HELMET VISOR!!!
