Ultra compact (finger length), dual-output mini LED flashlight with extended runtime. Its virtually indestructible, two-stage light-emitting diode (LED) light source produces a smooth, pre-focused beam that, at maximum output, is over twice as bright as that of a big two-D-cell flashlight. At its low setting it produces a useful three lumens of light and continues producing useful light levels for 40 hours on a single lithium battery. Small size (it’s lightweight enough to clip to hat brim for hands-free operation), dual output, extended runtime, and 10-year battery shelf life make the E1L perfect for camping, backpacking, travel, emergency/disaster preparedness kits, or as an everyday-carry for general use.

The Highest of Quality, and U.S. Made!
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I currently own six Surefires. Three U-2's (2 for resale), the Military's M3, the no longer made Z3 Combatlight, and now the E1L. About four years ago, I thought that the MagLight was top of the line, and expensive at twenty dollars! I saw the Surefire Z3 at the cost of a Century Note, and truly convinced myself to take a chance and spend that much on a flashlight. By the number of Surefires I now own, you can see that I have no regrets from that first purchase. Surefires are expensive and of such high quality, that they become addictive. They are made in the U.S.A., at Fountain Valley, California, which is about eight miles from my home, and are of top quality. The machine work is excellent, and the human engineering shows in each of the ones that I own. Batteries can be aquired on the net for around one dollar apiece, if you look. I only use name brands. I purchased the E1L for backpacking use, and was attracted to it after going to Surefire's website and reading it's specifications. I wanted the dual output, and the corresponding "Run Times" at those output levels. I used to carry a Pelican M6 lithium as my high intensity light, but the batteries will last for only an hour...and it used two of the CR123's. My Black Diamond Headlamp will always be my first use hiking and in camp light. The E1L will take the place of the Pelican M6. While not as bright as the M6, the E1l's batteries will last HOURS longer, and on high, is brighter than a 2 "D" cell MagLight. I plan on going over to Surefire's facility, as both my wife and I each own the E1L, and I feel that on low, this light is WAY over the 3 lumens that it should be...My U2's are 2 lumens on low, and the E1L overwelms all three of my U2's when set on low by a very significant amount. On low, the E1L is rated for 3 lumens, and a "Run Time" of 48 hours. If, as I suspect, both of our E1L's are outputing at a significantly higher rate on "low", then the "run time" will be negativly affected. And when backpacking in the wilderness, that lowering of the "Run Time", is not why I purchased the E1L. If you can afford the Surefire products, they will last, and are guaranteed for a lifetime. You will not regret your purchase. I will update the luminosity issue on "low" after I contact Surefire. | |

SureFire saved my life!
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I have owned and been issued numerous SureFire lights. As an Infantryman, and having used them in combat, I can honestly be thankful to SureFire for me being alive today. There is no better tactical light on the market, and I've never seen a tougher light anywhere. Whether its blinding your enemy, self extracting from a mine field, or just checking out a noise behind your campsite, you can not go wrong with SureFire. The batteries are a little expensive though, and the price to pay for blinding bright light is short battery life. However, I still recommend everyone own a SureFire. There is absolutely nothing out there that even comes close. | |

Best and Brightest | |

| Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand yet brighter than a big bulky 2D cell flashlight. Low setting is perfect for reading and high level is bright enough to find your way out of the wilderness. One 3 volt battery will last all night, The 3 watt led bulb will not burn out eliminating the need for a spare bulb. Excellent quality and durability. The best flashlight you can own. | |

Great little flashlight

| This is a really cool little flashlight. It great light output and is very durable. It has survived being dropped numerous times. I put it on my flak jacket and it gets bumped, pulled, snagged, and yanked and the clip still holds strong. It has somewhat low battery life like most hi output flashlights. | |

Must have | |

| This small SureFire E1L Flashlight is a must have. I know it is very hard to spend over $100.00 for a small flashlight, but its great. I carry it in my pocket everyday and I could not ask for a better flashlight. I use this flashlight for SAR and you can't go wrong | |
