"Loved It!"

Rating:*****
I got this watch as a gift and it is exactly what I was expecting but it came with great customer service. The people that work at Moosejaw have went above and beyond what they needed to do help me get this iteam in time. The status of my order said processing so I called to make sure it went through and they told me it had which is all I wanted to know but later that same day someone called me back and said that it was shipped already and it would be here the next day. I was ok with just knowing it went through they didnt have to double check the status and call back I will defenatly be shopping at Moosejaw again!

"This watch ROCKS!"

Rating:****
This watch is incredible! The most admirable features are the barometer/weather indicator and the large face that makes it easy to read at a quick glance. The weather indicator has already kept me from having to get into my dry gear after the rain showed up. A great watch for the outdoor enthusiast. I only wish it had a few more features, maybe a heart rate indicator. With respect to a previous review, I too worry about the battery life, but as I read through the manual, I noticed that replacing the battery is an easy swap that can be done without taking it in to a jewler.

b/o Core.Strap needs to be 5mm longer.Guard slides off.used blue lock tight on screws. biding due to double pivot, doesn't lie flat.dial is sturdy, doesn't feel cheap, salt water sucks so flush w/fresh water.lum really bright. neg face,no prob viewing.brightness can be adjusted, battery deplete faster.read twice.reviews say not accurate, it’s on if u understand ref values.alt and pressure i care bout, ask the ranger for pressure-you adjust to match and start.alt depends on pressure and vice verse, set one your watch knows the pressure, start hiking, reach monument.adjust ref alt after sit to this # if off, switch your profile to pressure if camp site.wake, take reading, adjust pressure ref.

"Big, cool Suunto"

Rating:*****
What a cool looking watch. Big pizza dish face and super stylish band. Couple that with the legendary Suunto functionality, and you have a modern timepiece legend. Very easy to read, and easy to use. Software is pretty accurate as well, but bring an actual compass just in case. I love the storm warning indicator. Has saved me from getting soaked a couple of times. More comfortable and easier to wear than the Vector, but probably not as tough. Great watch from Suunto. Thanks alot Moosejaw!!

"Perfect for my needs"

Rating:*****
For someone who does short alpine climbs I find the core just right: altimeter, barometer, thermometer give me all the data I need. The alarm clock function wakes me up on time. The backlight is just enough and keeps it fuctional at night. It is easy to toggle and intuitively figure out how to change settings without reading the owner's manual!

"worth the wait!"

Rating:*****
Just got my watch after waiting for six weeks because it was on backorder. It was worth the wait. Features are excellent, the design makes it very flexible so it fits well with movement. I had a High Gear Axis previously and this watch is so much better.

"good features, fits well even on a small wrist"

Rating:****
Watch is great, alti/baro feature has proven to be very accurate. Arrived with a dead battery but moosejaw is supposed to credit me the cost, we'll see what happens

Negative Reviews:

"Looks but no guts"

Rating:*
I have had a Core for just over a year I think and am now on my 3rd Black/Orange. The first lasted until this past Sept when, after a battery change, the display went to diagnotic display and there was no coming back. A tech helpdesk call agreed it was toast and they would replace. After ONLY a little over month I got my replacement. That lasted about 20 min before it did its first reset. That night it did another reset. Then is AM it locked up and after pulled/replaced the battery the screen was minus one row of pixels. They are sending out another Core (My last of Suunto watches). A fairly helpful, sort of thoughtful review. BYE

"looks over function"

Rating:**
Wasn't too hard to set up and all that jazz, though the controls were a bit tedious when in the field. Worst thing is, while it has a whack of useful and semi-useful functions, the thing couldn't even stay water-resistant even from the sweat on my arm - the screen would fog up as soon as I got moving, and rendered it useless. And believe me, it wasn't and ID10T error; i changed the O-ring, the batteries... it's just a techno-junkie piece of eye-candy for the most part. Maybe Timex helped Suunto out in the water-resistance department it might be god, but 'til then...

"Cool photo, not so cool on my wrist."

Rating:***
Watch is big and chunky--bigger than it looks in photograph. Also, while it has a lot of features, using it was not terribly intuitive. I disliked wearing it.
