Great for Nordic skiing in New England

I bought these a couple of years ago for my 13 yo daughter and I'm back buying the next size up. I had to take in the waistband by a couple of inches but that was OK as they are very thin--(silky thin not flimsy thin) so even with my doubling up that part of the waistband they are not bulky. She says they're comfortable and they keep her warm under lycra tights and sometimes nylon warmup pants, in to around zero F/less than -20 C. We have fleecy ones for the really cold days but you could also just double up the thin long underwear like in the old days. She has worn them to Nordic ski practice a 2-3 days per week all winter, plus daily on two week-long Nordic skiing vacations per year and they have held up beautifully. I wash on permapress once a week or less and hang dry.

Sking in 0 Degree F

I bought these for my 12 and 10 year old boys, and they love wearing them. They constantly say how great they feel and how warm they were. We recently were downhill skiing in 0 deg F temps and quite a few others in the group complained how cold they were but my boys were warm. I stressed how important it is to layer the clothing and these made a great first layer.

Just Right

Bought these for my Kindergartener to wear to school in Philly & while sledding with family in Minneapolis MN over winter break. Fabric is nice & lightweight, not too hot to have on indoors during the school day or at home, yet it was a nice warm, comfortable, non-bulky, non-sweaty layer to have on when playing outside in the snow.

Good value

I bought these to be part of a Halloween costume I am making for my grandson. He will be a blue-tailed skink this year. The long underwear will be useful after Halloween has come and gone.

Comfortable

My twelve-year-old loved these. He wore them under his snow pants when skiing. He thought they were really comfortable and they kept him warm while skiing on an 8 degree day.

warm, comfortable, and good quality

Bought these for my 10 and 12 year old sons. Both said they were comfortable, warm, and fit well as a base layer. Not bulky at all.

good quality but runs big

This is a good quality base layer and very comfortable for my daughter, but they run big.
