| I don't usually write reviews, but after seeing what the first reviewer wrote I have say he must have been talking about another shoe or has 'alien feet'. We were looking for a shoe to standardize on for our adventure tour boat crews, so I ended up the test subject. On my fairly normal 5-toe, size 11 feet, the Pelican fit well right out of the box. Unlike Docksiders, the Teva shoes feel like they will stay on your feet, and break-in time for me was about a week. In the water and on deck they drain well and stick well. The sole provides some grip in sand and mud also. Not bad on the rocks, either. After they dry off they still look pretty good (so far!). If you're looking for a rugged boat shoe with with some style and technology built-in, this is the shoe for you. I have had over a dozen boat shoes in my life; these are the best. We will purchase this shoe for our Tribal Adventure boat crews. | |

| Avoid... these shoes look awesome, but I could tell within 30 seconds of wearing them that they would not work. The heel of the shoe is incredibly rigid and although the shoe seemed to fit my foot snugly, the heel tends to slide up and down your Achilles. Truly uncomfortable and would probably eventually break skin. Try em out if you want, but I warned ya. | |
