Just what I needed | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| This backpack is perfectly designed and constructed. Clearly a lot of thought went into the design. There are exterior and interior pockets in the exact sizes and locations that you need to hold all your essentials. I sometimes bike commute, work full time and am a part time grad student. I don't carry a purse as I can put everything I need in the backpack. It will hold my laptop on the days I need to take it, as well as a notebook and a couple of text books, along with all the small daily essentials. I love this backpack so much it has inspired me to bike commute more often than I was previously. I got caught in the rain a couple of times and the contents of the pack stayed perfectly dry. I highly recommend this pack. | |

| This pack is great for class it can hold everything I need and more. It has a pouch for a laptop but also fits a few large text books in the main compartment. The smaller compartment has an organizer built in for pens and other small items you would use. It works great when youre on a bike because you can adjust the sides so that your stuff doesnt shift around. The pack works just as awesome on the weekend for short hikes or day trips. Would definitely buy again but I dont think I'll have to for a while! the material and zippers are of a sturdy quality. The price is a little steep but its worth it if youre planning on using this pack for a long time. Plus MJ always seems to have great deals | |

Comfy ladies' pack | |

| This is a great backpack for my very day work as I am a traveling teacher consultant and appreciate the slim shape and cushioned compartments for my various water bottles, laptop, and knickknacks. Although I would highly recommend this to a friend, there are two things I find frustrating: 1. The laptop compartment sits up off the bottom, which shields it from damage, but throws off the balance of the bag while it is standing on the floor, so it frequently tips over. 2. There are many extra straps that I don't need and had to clip them together to keep them from swinging around or getting dirty on the ground. That said I'm very happy with my purchase as it is a significant upgrade from the Slingshot that I had for the last 6 years. | |

"excellant choice for college, would purchase again!" | |

| Perfect size! I'm pre-med and have lots of texts and it holds everything i need each day.ex: laptop, 4in binder, large textbook, midsized textbook, two small reading books, and a journal. There are buckles on the sides that hold the bag together when it is not full, helping to avoid the classic 2nd grader bouncing books in oversized backpack effect. Not all the outside pockets are mesh so easy to access things arent neccessarily easy to see things. The bottom has a more durable fabric. The hip belt is easy to tuck buckle tight when not being used. The two things it could upgrade on would be better/cushier shoulder straps and a more padded/protected laptop sleeve. | |

Great Daypack! | |

| I purchased this pack for my girlfriend, thinking it the "top-of-the-line" The North Face pack for women. Simply put, it's just that. I own the men's Recon II, and this pack is basically the women's version, albeit perhaps nicer. It has everything you'd expect from The North Face (quality, attention to detail) and some add-on's my Recon lacks (a suspended laptop compartment, for example). Altrec's Price Match Plus Guarentee was great, as was customer service. I would highly recommend both this store and this day pack. | |

| I ordered Big Shot, Hot Shot, and Recon, along with Amira to see which one'd fit me the best. Although Amira has the smallest cubic feet, its length is perfect for my back (am 5'3") and the straps don't cut into my shoulder bones (all 3 others do because they are wider). My Dell 150 fits into the slot with about 1 1/2 inches sticking out. Don't matter. It is a well constructed multi-purpose backpack that I can take to travel, commute, and day hike. | |

| I am a college student and I have done alot of research on a backpack, seen alot of backpacks and tried on alot, this one is by far the best. It has changed my life ( no lie). It fits everything!!!!!!! but it still doesnt look like your carrying a body or something in your bag. It looks great and has awesome side pockets for keys or cell phone. and the best part of all it is SO COMFORTABLE!!!!!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BACKPACK!!!!! | |

| So i use this backpack everyday at college and it is great, not too big, not to small, pretty awesome all together. Sometimes i go hiking, i use this backpack and for a day hike, it fits everything. It doesn't looking like i am carrying every book i own inside on my way to library, yet it does hold every book!. you should get it, its the cool thing to do. | |

| I purchased this backpack for my daughter's first year at college. We were concerned that her laptop wouldn't fit as it is 17 inch...however, it fits in the special laptop pocket with room to spare! Enough room also for books and other supplies. Padded shoulder straps make hauling everything more comfortable. Daughter loves the color also. Great price for brand and quality of backpack. | |

good but smells.. | |

| This is a pretty comfortable backpack. I had my last EMS brand backpack for almost 15 years and it was hard to find a replacement. Though this one fits pretty well and can hold my computer and just a few other small items, it gets this horrendous smell after a few wears. Normally I ride my bike to and from school and my other backpack(s) have never smelled so sour. I've had to wash it several times, but the smell still returns. It's not even a body odor smell! Just like rotting material. If you sweat at all, like any normal person, be prepared to wash this a lot or choose something else. If it didn't smell, it would get 4 or 5 stars. | |
