The North Face Apex Elevation Jacket -

Let me hit you with a little science: the TNF™ Apex Universal fabric used for the exterior of the women's Apex Elevation Jacket is made up of.... stretchy warm stuff. Its chemical make-up is.... soft. Yet tough. Alright, you got me; I don't know much about science. However, I do know a thing or two about outdoor performance. The North Face hit the nail on the head with this extremely versatile insulated mid-layer. While maintaining a slim fit and minimizing bulk, the PrimaLoft® Eco insulation is placed heavier on the core with slightly less in the sleeves to maximize warmth and mobility. If you're caught out and conditions take a turn, just pop up this soft shell's adjustable hood. Leave the science for the scientists, just take advantage of their research and results.

The North Face Apex Elevation Jacket Reviews:

I loved it so much I am buying it again!

I have worn this coat all winter for the past 4 years It is unbelievably comfortable and perfect for such a wide range of temperatures. I can wear it when it is above freezing and not be uncomfortably hot and wear it in below freezing temperatures while still remaining comfortable. I did not want a winter coat that looked like I was ready to hit the mountains and this coat is casual enough to wear everyday. I love the fact that it is a soft shell which means it doesn't make a ton of noise when moving around in it. This jacket has been through a lot with me and seen a lot of use, it is still warm and in good shape but I was looking to upgrade my jacket this year to something new. I tried on tons of coats and nothing was even close to being as warm and as comfortable as this jacket. Needless to say, I am buying it again! I would not recommend this for skiing or any high activity sports but for everyday wear, it is perfect!

Size Advisor Wrong On This

I got this in the Large because the size advisor told me to buy that size. It is too big. I have since tried the Medium at Macy's, and it was too snug in the chest. This just is not a jacket that is going to work for me. Otherwise, this is a really nice jacket - well made and seems warm.
My advice is that if you are deciding between sizes or feel the size advisor is wrong, you should size down or buy both and return one.

Great Coat

Received my coat a week ago and I love it..Saw this coat in a store but they did not have my size so I took a chance and ordered it on line..I am very glad that I did. Its a very warm coat, I usually wear a sweater underneath and I still have room to move it is not bulky at all. Just got my daughter a long Northface coat for Christmas and that was what steered me to get glad I did

Perfect for NE Weather

Living in south shore Boston during the winter its super important to have a warm winter jacket. Its wicked cold for about 3 straight months and shoveling feet of snow time & time again makes it impossible to stay warm if not insulated well. This jacket is legit perfect whether its 50 degrees or -10 I always stay warm & comfortable. Snowboarding is so much more fun when your not worrying about a jacket being warm enough. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

Extremely warm amazing jacket

This jacket is amazing. I live in Maine and you need a warm jacket for the winter. I love it! its comfortable and right when you put it on you can feel the warmth. It may be a little pricey but let me tell you IT IS WORTH IT! (if your looking for something really warm)
jboothhowe at The North Face on 11/11/2013

I love it.

Where I live it gets to be about -60 degrees Fahrenheit with wind chill, and this jacket is perfect. For how light the jacket is it retains heat exceptionally well, very impressed. Has very deep pockets, a sleek design. Overall it serves it purpose at the same time fashionable, and is very cozy.

A Great Investment

I made someone extremely happy with the North Face jacket that I purchased as a gift. It is great quality! I have purchased several and expect this one to last and wear as well.

I have this jacket in brilliant blue; it's warm yet lightweight and not bulky. I am 5'3" and 123lbs and small fits me perfectly. Perfect for 40-50F weather, wind and waterproof.

This jacket is great! I purchased the recommended size. It is warm and not bulky. I wore it in 20 degree weather and it was warm enough.
