When you need a small bag to throw all those little necessities into, The North Face's Base Camp Travel Canister will hold just the important items that you need to access in an airport, vehicle, or backcountry stream. While personal hygiene and yaks don't usually go hand-in-hand, this canister brings the two together thanks to the burly fabric that's traditionally used to lug gear on far-removed expeditions.
The North Face Base Camp Travel Canister is a great little shower kit. It's made from a burly fabric that's traditionally used to lug gear on far-removed expeditions.

| The North Face Base Camp Padded Canister | $40.00 |
I have two of these canisters - an older version and the newer version (the only difference really being that the newer kit comes with a hook so that it can be hung up; the older comes with a buckle/clip system for the same purpose). Both are very durable (reminds me of the TNF Camp Duffel), very practical, and your belongings will stay protected due to the cushioning from the padding. I use the older kit for gear I don't want to get broken (SteriPen, MSR pocket rocket, headlamp, SnowPeak lantern - extra mantles, matches, and a pocket knife fit perfectly into the mesh pocket) and I use the newer case as a toiletry kit because it hangs and has a mirror (which I don't really use). If you are worried about the size, your toiletries will easily fit in the canister even if you aren't the lightest of packers (provided you aren't using full-sized shampoo, toothpaste, etc.). Probably a bit pricey for it being a toiletry kit but it is bombproof and has the TNF reputation.
Nice organized interior - mesh keeps things where you want them - hangs up - and who doesn't love the bomb proof base camp laminate. These things looks cool (Miniature Base camp duffel) and are the perfect size. Can fit in checked bags or a backpack easily. My only complaint would be the mirror attachment. The one that comes with these is pretty chintzy. I went to my local REI and picked up a 3x4 acrylic mirror to replace the standard one and now it's good to go. Def. recommend this item!
Used this for a 3 week trip to southern India. Fit everything two of us needed to keep the funk away but fit nicely along with the rest of my gear in a smaller (day hiking sized) back pack. Would definitely recommend. But I agree with the other reviewers, the mirror is pathetic. And I love the hanger - definitely didn't want to set this down in some of the places we stayed or risk dumping my toothbrush on the floor.
Nice little toiletry bag. Big enough to hold all the things that you would ever need to have in a toiletry kit without being oversized. I also put a headlamp, knife, matches, lighter, and a little peacord in there. No real internal storage besides a mesh pocket. The mirror is junk but I didn't get it for the mirror. Also not a big fan of the hanger hook on this. I personally don't use it.
