If you are the type to take a quick run from the office to the outdoors Friday at 5pm, The North Face's Beeline sleeping bag was made for you. Ultra-light, downproof, durable HelioLite HD fabric surrounds 850+ fill European goose down that insulates your body from the elements.

Going light and fast requires equipment that is ultra lightweight, but doesn't skimp on durability. When The North Face designed the Beeline 30 Degree Sleeping Bag, they kept these criteria in mind. Incredibly lightweight and amply insulated with 850+ Eastern European goose down, the Beeline is build of revolutionary HelioLite™ HD Ripstop fabric that's lighter, stronger, and more compressible than any other material on the market today. Move fast during the day and sleep well at night, so you can get up and do it all over again tomorrow.
The North Face Beeline 900 30-Degree Down Sleeping Bag is a lightweight sleeping bag designed to keep you warm on fast-paced cool-weather expeditions. The North Face uses the lightest, highest quality, most compressible goose down available. This all-natural, 850-fill power down provides excellent warmth without the weight or bulk of most bags—the regular size Beeline weighs in at just over a pound. The 100% nylon HelioLite ripstop shell is soft, easily compressed, and contributes to this sleeping bag's overall light weight. As further testament to The North Face's obsession with creating the lightest cool-weather bag possible, they used a heat transfer logo instead of embroidery to save thread weight.

A minimalist's dream, this Flight Series 30°F bag kicks comfort up a notch with 850-fill-power goose down and efficient materials.

Great Warmer Weather Bag
| Rating: | ![]() |
| So this is my first down bag. Other bags I own, and use are an REI Zephyr 15, and a Snugpak Jungle Bag (this is a military bag, Snugpak makes great products, and is well known in its lane, just not in the commercial/civilian world as much.) I love the Beeline. I've got the newer model with the 1/3 Zip, and the foot zip. I'm a stocky, wide dude, and have zero issues with the 1/3 zip. In fact, I love it, because I am a hot sleeper, and it lets me open the bag, but, I don't end up falling out of it like I with a full sized bag. The foot vent is awesome. Open it and get a cool breeze, or if you're really hot and have sweaty paws like I do, you can totally hang your feet out of the bag. Its ingenious. I had this out in 40 degree weather with an REI Minimalist Bivy in my open hammock, and was not cold. Anyone who does a lot of hammock camping will know its easy to freeze your rear end off, and I didn't. I'm sold on the beeline, totally sold on it. | |

Fantastic bag for ultralight summer trips
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I purchased this bag in an effort to lessen the weight for a weeklong trip in the Marble Mountains, CA. I am 6' and purchased the long bag. I fit into the bag with room to spare. The temperature dipped to approx. 40 degrees at night. I slept in a two person tent with my girlfriend. Using a closed cell sleeping pad, a fair amount of cold seeped through. With an inflatable, open cell pad, the bag would have been incredibly warm and would fully meet its 30 degree rating. Not having a zipper didn't pose much of a problem. It wasn't difficult getting into or out of the bag. No zipper means no draft, which was fantastic. The zipper at the feet provided good ventilation on hotter nights. The bag is made with very lightweight nylon. I didn't have any problems with tears. However, the material isn't terribly comfortable on bare skin that is dirty and sticky with sweat. A couple days into the trip, I had to wear clothing to sleep comfortably. Overall, I highly recommend this bag for any wanting a lightweight bag. | |

Great sleeping bag! | |

| The Beeline is a great down bag. I have used mine about a dozen nights so far. It has plenty of room to move around, yet still feels like a mummy bag. The foot box zipper is a nice addition to the bag and allows an added way to let your sweaty feet take a breather. Mine does have the 1/3 zipper down the side of the bag. I'm a cold sleeper, so the temperature rating is perfect for a cool summer night for me. But I would say +30 is right on. The hood cinches up just fine, but you can always wear a hat as well. My advice: buy a compression sack to use with it instead of the stuff sack it comes with. it will save you space. | |

Great ultralight bag | |

| This is a great bag. I had the synthetic version but was still a tad too cold. The down version solves this problem. This bag is very warm for its weight. Sure, it doesnt have a zipper, but that's why it weighs under 21 ounces. You actually get used to not having a zipper and on warm days, it does have a foot zipper so you can air out, and if you get really got, you can slip it down a little bit. Lightest production bag I could find that is still warm. | |

Great plus 30 bag | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I just used this bag on a 3 week July mountaineering trip in the NW including one snow camp/climb. In a tent, the bag is comfortable and warm with a single pad down to 30 deg and on snow with 2 pads (closed cell plus a thermarest). I suspect that this bag would be a good lightweight bivy setup with the addition of a bivy sack and down jacket and pants. Will try this option soon. The zipper at the foot is a great option and the bag stuffs down to a very small volume. | |

The perfect ultralight 30-deg - for me
| Rating: | ![]() |
| No zipper = no drafts, as mentioned by Kevin Hedahl. I personally never let my dirty skin touch my bag, as I sweat too easily, and that would ruin it quickly. So, if you follow this practice (socks & undies, or better yet, bag liner), you'll do fine. In & out of the top is easier than it seems, and the zippered foot box is The Bomb for keeping me comfy. Love it!!! | |

Stuff size amazingly small

This bag is a perfect summer backpacking bag- I got the older one that does not have the 1/3 length zipper on it. (really wish I had it, it would be nice to have the option to vent a bit more) Highly recommended bag...if you sleep hot.

The perfect bag for summer and autumn. It's super light, stuff size is really small, it has a 1/3 zipper plus an extra one at the feet (across) for extra ventilation when it's hot. Best sleeping bag I've had!!

| temp rating seems true. Compresses to very small size. Used in temps to about 20 degrees. I wouldn't use this bag for colder than about 30 degrees though | |

Good ultra-light sleeping bag
| Rating: | ![]() |
| This sleeping bag is amazingly light and small. Its barely the size of a football in its stuff sack. Unfortunately there is no 1/3 length zipper like the product description says so you're forced to sort of worm your way into the bag and there is no room to sit up in it.Only pick this up if you can find it steeply discounted, I paid only [$] for mine. | |
