The North Face Girl's Betasso Running Shoe

My 6yr. old daughter has very narrow, very flat pronating feet and she suffers from foot cramps if she wears a flimy shoe. The physiotherapist recommended we look for a shoe that doesn't twist or bend easily, that has a rocking motion in the sole, and that can be cinched up to accomodate the narrow foot. This shoe has it all, and sure enough as soon as my DD started wearing these her foot cramps cleared up. She loves the locking laces, so she can be first out at recess time. We are now on our third pair and I'll continue to order these as her feet grow

I agree with a previous reviewer that the pink colouring started to wear off - NF would do better to use pink rubber instead of painting pink on white rubber. Our first pair was the brown boys colour which didn't have the same problem. Hmmm, otherwise, this is a great shoe and worth the price!

We bought these for a camping trip, and subsequent camping trips and hikes. Paired with a thick sock, these were just the right combo for a 14-hour day on our feet. My 7-year old didn't complain once, even though we bought a size 12 and she's more of an 11 1/2 (there are no half sizes). She felt confident on steep dirt trails, and comfortable the whole day.She wears these to school daily now, can get them on and off lickety split with the easy bungee laces, and is actually more excited about PE due to the confidence she gets from this shoe (why, I don't know). She plays in the sandbox at school and NOT ONE GRAIN of sand got in her shoe, even with regular crew socks. She can't wait to take another hike she says! Thanks North Face

My daughter is very sensitive when it comes to her feet. We have tried many shoes and these are by far her favorites. She had out grown her last pair, so we went to REI to get her a new pair. Same great fit and feel that she loved from the first pair. The only down side was after ordering them online and picking them up at the store we realized they stopped using the single-pull lace system.

The picture on the website shows the pull laces and the showroom sample had them as well(unfortunately these were not her size). We ended up buying a kit to replace the laces so she can get the most out of these shoes.

Bring back the Single-pull Laces!!!

I purchased these yesterday. I am a dancer, and have had many foot surgeries and other problems, and my feet are very narrow and have a high arch. We were looking for a shoe that could last for a long time and had good quality. I usually wore a 6-7, but we ended up with a 5. These are very cushy and comfy, the only problem I have is that the heel is very huge. A great shoe for starting high school!

Turquoise color has been super durable and long lasting. Rubber has not worn out at all. Very light and great support. Only issue is my daughter sometime trips because of the traction, other wise much better and longer lasting then any show we have tried including StrideRite. Still looks great after 6 months!

Bought these for my 8yr old daughter and she loves them and surprisingly hasn't worn them out. Really the shoes still look brand new after numerous hikes and her wearing them out to play with just a single wash.
