Don't hesitate to take flight with the new North Face Flight Series the Borealis Jacket for Women, designed to go fast and light, the Borealis sheds weight but not durability or technology. Built with Carbon from Bamboo technology and 100% recycled Borealis fleece, this jacket wicks away moisture, prevents odor and protects you from the sun's harsh rays. Thumbloops, a drop tail hem and left side patch pocket complete the package.
If you're sick of your fleece hording sweaty odors after your hikes, you'll be stoked on The North Face Women's Borealis Fleece Jacket. The North Face made this fleece with a small amount of carbon (from bamboo) which adds natural anti-odor and wicking properties to the Borealis. This layer's recycled polyester fleece has an anti-pilling face so it won't look like you've been attacked by an army of small yarn-balls after a few months. Since harmful sun rays can penetrate clothes, The North Face made sure the Borealis Fleece has UPF 30-rated sun protection fabric.

Designed for endurance athletes who prefer to jettison excess weight in the interest of speed, this soft fleece full-zip provides athletes with a durable, lightweight barrier on long forays across varied terrain. Made with 100 percent recycled Borealis fleece, this full-zip incorporates Carbon from Bamboo technology; wicking excess moisture and sweat away from your skin, moving it to the outer layer of the jacket where it evaporates.

"Thin but warm." | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| If you're looking for something that's a little thicker and will keep you warm in 50 degree New England fall weather for an hour or so, then this might not be what you're looking for. But if you're looking for something that's warm and you can layer underneath your coat or throw on over another shirt in a hurry, then this is what you need. It's rather thin, but it will keep insulate you and keep you warm if you have other layers. It's definitely true to size--I ordered a medium and it's a little large on me, but it's good since I layer it over other shirts I have. Love the thumb holes! | |

Awesome light-weight fleece w/thumb holes!

The North Face Borealis Fleece Jacket is an awesome addition to my wardrobe. It's warm enough to wear as an only external layer in the Fall, and is a great insulating mid-layer for colder weather. The thumb holes keep it in place under gloves and a shell, and keep my hands toasty warm. There's only one small pocket on the left hip, but it's the perfect size for your keys, ID, and lip goo when you're out on an early morning run in chilly weather. Two thumbs up!

"My sis loves it" | |

| Great all around Jacket. Wears as a base layer or light jacket. Sis likes it best when out bike riding on cool mournings or early evenings. Does not ride up when bent over those handlebars. Loves the free feeling movement in the chest area. Enjoys those Monkey Thumbs. Keeps her hands toasty when it's not cold enough for gloves. She says it was one of the best gifts I have ever given her. I guess it beats out that Salad Shooter I sent her. | |

Flatters and performs | |

I bought this fleece for hiking during the shoulder seasons and as a layering option for snowshoeing. I generally wear a medium and the medium fits me perfectly. The cut is form fitting and flattering, but not at all tight. I have short arms for my height and the sleeves are predictably a little long, so for those without munchkin arms, the length should be just fine. This fleece washes well with no special care. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Lightweight but warm; a must-have fleece
| Rating: | ![]() |
| This is a great lightweight fleece for cool days or a layer for the very cold days! I bought this for running, but I have found myself wearing it for more than that. It's great for traveling since its so light but warm! Many of my friends have borrowed this fleece from my closet, and I have had a hard time getting it back in my possession! I highly recommend this product! | |

Love it! | |

I love how this jacket looks and fits. The fleece is very soft, and it is form fitting. It isn't particularly thick, but it's great for fall and spring. The sleeves are also pretty long and the monkey cuffs cover your hands nicely on brisk mornings.

Good layer if cold or by itself in only cool weather. True to its' size. The sleeves were long enough (I have long arms). Like the thumb rings & that they too have fleece on the inside as well.

I'd recommend it | |

Amazingly warm despite it's light feel. Not overly excited about the sleeves with the thumb rings, but, I'm sure I'll appreciate them when the temps get really cold.

Lightweight fleece, I like the thumbholes a lot, it layers well under other jacket. Haven't gotten to try it out on its own in the wind yet...

| Very thin jacket, too thin for what I was wanting in fact. Very true to size and would be nice if you just wanted to wear a cami underneath. It's not bulky at all very form fitting. Other than that love the experience of Moosejaw. Sent my borealis back for the khumbu. Will letcha know! Thanks moosejaw! | |
