This is the first winter jacket that I bought and LOVED very much! I can't wait to wear it for snowboarding this winter. I like the fact that all I have to wear underneath is a long-sleeve shirt and I can stay warm in the first storm we had last night here in NYC. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a great warm and comfortable jacket for this winter. It doesn't look puffy and it outlines my curve so I still feel very stylish wearing it. They had it delivered to my house super fast and everything was in great condition. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

EXCELLENT WARM COAT

I must admit, when this coat arrived in the mail I was concerned, it was so light weight I was worried there was no way it could be warm enough for Michigan winters, I was WRONG! it's very warm, and extremely comfortable! The inside layer is soft and warm, easily worn all the time if you are like me and live in your coat! I work outside 2 hours everyday, and so far the coat has never left we cold. Excellent choice if you are looking for a real winter coat!

Great and Versatile

I wear this jacket constantly. Whether it's slightly cold and I just need the fleece, raining and just need the shell, or it's cold and I need both layers. It works for all weather conditions. The arms can be a little tight if you are trying to wear several layers (for instance, I wore a t-shirt, long sleeve t-shirt, and sweatshirt... and it was a little tight fitting but wasn't uncomfortable. I recommend this product. It's a good price for a great coat.

I bought this jacket as a gift for my daughter. To me it doesnt seen very heavy but it does look nice and she say's its warm .I got it when it was on sale and after checking what other places were charging I guess I recieved a fair value as it is a brand name . Still for myself I wouldnt pay over $200 or for that matter even over $100 for any jacket ...brand name or not.

Shipped to my college dorm

I love my new North Face. Three coats in one. I have only had to wear the inner fleece so far, it is warm enough for now. My mom and I shopped for a new coat that fit me and still was sylish. We couldnt find my color/size in a local store, so we started looking on the internet and found your site! We had it shipped to my dorm, it can with no problem and no hassle.

UPS delivered my new jacket today and I absolutely love it! This is my second North Face Boundary Triclimate Jacket and this time I got the Baroque Purple/Teaberry Pink. Last time, I got the Retro Pink. I love the colors of both but the Baroque Purple actually looks almost like a purplish-brown. It's still nice looking though!
Gotta love Backcountry.com! They're returns and customer service are almost TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!...until you realize they are just that awesome!:D

I bought this jacket two weeks ago and I'm very satisfied. It keeps me warm and is wonderful for rainy days. I go hiking a lot and didn't get disappointed yet. The material is very good, the pockets are soft and keep the hands warm. The design is very nice and points out the female figure. Only negative point for me is that the jacket is made in China. :-( But everything else is very good.

Kathleen Richter at Backcountry.com on 10/08/2012

Perfect jacket for PNW

It is very versitile. The liner can be worn alone for lightweight warmth and the shell can be worn alone as a raincoat and/or windbreaker. Together it is just the coziest, warmest jacket ever! And even though it is big and thick, it doesn't feel or look bulky when worn.
Only downside for me is that I got white...it looks fantastic! but is a little hard to keep clean. Otherwise, it is perfect!

Fantastic Coat

We bought this coat for our daughter who moved to a colder climate state for college. She thought she would "freeze" to death walking across campus until we gave her the Triclimate. She loves loves loves the versatility of this coat, feels stylish while wearing it and has the added bonus of having 3 coats in one. Fabulous purchase for us and will absolutely recommend it to others. Would buy it again and again!
Mom at Rock/Creek Outfitters on 02/02/2010

The jacket is very durable, warm, versatile, comfortable, and fashionable!

I needed a new winter coat and with this purchase I got a winter coat, a spring jacket, and a fall jacket! It's nice to be able to take out the inner layer and switch it out for other inner layers I already own to customize my warmth. It fits great and is adjustable at the bottom and on the sleeves so you don't get snow in your jacket while skiing!

Negative Reviews:

i'm having the same problem as a previous poster (Eileen). The fleece is soft but it's shedding like crazy! I can't wear it anywhere without people saying: "did you buy a cheap fake?" or "why are you shedding black fur?"

emily at Backcountry.com on 01/02/2013

Disappointed

I was disappointed in the quality. It was no more than a windbreaker with a light liner.
Beaner13 at Cabelas on 01/08/2013

Neutral Reviews:

color

The jacket is comfy and warm. Everything is great except the color of the liner really looks more like faded brown instead of dark purple. I think it would look better with dark purple coz brown doesn't really match the premiere purple shell at all. I returned it.
