Took this down to Panama, (Carribean side) and it served perfectly as both hot weather all around shirt and makeshift rashgard. Was great in and out of the water and dries quick.
During hikes it did get a couple of snags as the material is really fine, but its not meant to go to the prom. If it had a little higher SPF and didn't pick as easily it would be the perfect shirt.
Really comfortable.
This shirt is great! I have use it all the time for anything from working out at the gym to layering when I went skiing out in Steamboat Springs, CO over winter break. The shirt is really light weight, breathes well, and feels good on your skin. What more could you ask for in a shirt?
Bottom line:This is a great shirt that is price really reasonably.
I wear this shirt to work out at the gym, go hiking, or mountain biking. It is super light weight and comfortable. The material does snag easily. Id say my biggest complaint is this shirt drawls the stink out of you. Definitely only good for one time usage before it has to go in the wash. I got mine for 13$ so no complaints.
I run a lot and I had some older technical wicking short-sleeve shirts by EMS. They just are not as good. I started by getting only one of these...you know just to see how it was and I was so happy with it I came back and bought 2 more. These shirts are awesome! I recommend them to anyone.
Barely there, that's how this short feels. I love it by itself on warm days, as a wicking layer on cooler days. It's really a soft touch for a synthetic thread. It repelled moisture like a champ when the activity level was high, and dry enough not to get the chills when coming to a rest.
These are great shirts for the price. They do wick well, and are really light and soft.
Like any polyester fabric, if you sweat in it, it'll get a little stinky.
Like others have reported, the fabric is catchy and will snag if you're brushing up on stuff.
Overall a great shirt for your outdoor endeavors
Material is very light and comfy. Have not worn it out on the trail yet, so I cant comment on its durability (no snags or anything yet - I will mostly wear it under a button up though). As with a lot of different synthetics, it holds odor pretty good.
I use this piece as a baselayer for my job. As it involves constant movement and lifting, I was very pleased that the Velocitee shirt breathed well, didn't bunch up and was versatile in different temperatures. I'd recommend it as a baselayer for cool-weather climbing or kayaking.
The North Face Velocitee Crew - Short-Sleeve - Men's is pretty much your standard poly blend active shirt. The fit is a slight bit bigger than true and the material is comfortable enough for poly, but not quite up to the Better Than Naked Cool Crew for running purposes. It's slightly more durable than the BTNCC though so it'll spread along more applications other than running.
This shirt will keep you cool and dry. Only flaw like Mike Traslin mentions below, it snags then frays easy.
