Glad to find boys XL

I was glad to find the boys XL size on The North Face web site. I had purchased a size boys L at Sports Authority, but it was too snug - the store didn't carry the XL size, and the Men's S was too large. The first few choices he wanted in color were gone, but we chose the Conquer Blue which looks very nice. (Note: price is the same in other stores as on this site, if you look, you may be able to get a code for free shipping.) I find these jackets to be on the expensive side, but you definitely get quality. My sons both have them and they do last a long time and wash well in the washer & dryer. They are warm enough for going to school in the New England winter, but I would add another layer if playing outside in the snow for a long time.

My son is a typical rough and tumble six year old. For this school year I decided to spend the extra money and buy a jacket that would last; I was not dissapointed. This jacket works great in all weather, is snug (fits a litte on the small size as a heads up) and comes in many different color combos. I was abit sheepish about the fleece and polyester combination but it turns out it works just fine. My son recently ventured into the snow in this jacket and although the fleece got wet it didn't soak through, this is a stylish windproof lightweight jacket that has held up surprisingly well through ninja kicks, army rolls and endless adventures. I highly reccommend.

Great jacket but some drawbacks

I have three boys. They love this jacket, and I just bought another one because of the sale price. However, and this is very important, the jacket is certainly flammable material, and kids need to be reminded of that. My oldest son was hunting w/ his dad and extended family. He was standing in front of a space heater in an outdoor building they have. It literally burned a huge whole in the back of his jacket! We learned our lesson, and have encouraged all three to never stand w/ back to a space heater, especially in this jacket or any fleece jacket. We are lucky his clothes did not catch fire.

Love!

I cannot express enough how great this jacket is. It's very warm and comfortable enough to move around in. I bought this exact jacket in the girl's XL, but the jacket was way too big. In my opinion, the jackets run a bit big, but I'm only 5'0 ft and 110 lbs. I bought a boy's M and it fits perfectly. I wear this jacket on a cold, rainy day under my Women's Resolve jacket. Perfect combination, I may add! Overall, the Denali jackets are great and I recommend purchasing one as an awesome gift.

Great jacket!

Great jacket for my 10 year old son!he doesn't like to wear a heavy jacket to school so this is perfect.. warm enough to wear on cold days but not big and bulky.Fits very well but he is tall for his age and the sleeves are just the right length so it probably will be too small next year.I got him a large but wish I had gotten the XL so he could wear it longer!Grey with yellow zipper is a great color combo!

Boy's Northface jacket

Our last one is still in great shape but my son outgrew it, so time for the next size up. Great for mild weather on its own, or layering under a shell in colder weather. We just took this on a hike up a mountain in upstate NY (in Dec.) and it was fantastic - kept my son nice and warm. He put on a wind proof shell on the summit and was toasty warm as we ate lunch.

Warm, Durable, Comfortable

My son loves his north face so much that we are back a year later ordering another one just a size larger. He will not wear any other jackets now because he says they are too heavy compared to his north face denali. He does have a snow jacket but hasn't pulled it out much this year due to a dry winter. He wears short sleeve t-shirts and jeans everyday with his north face and stays warm.

Great jacket. I bought this for my son and very impressed with the quality of jacket given how pricey it is. I bought it a little big and should be getting at least two years out of it though. My son tells me it is very comfortable and warm and has worn it through an admittedly warmer Chicago winter and is a weight he can still play football and basketball outside during the colder weather without restriction.

Awesome jacket

Bought this for Christmas for my 8 year old son. He absolutely loves it & wears it everyday, even when I think it's too cold out for it. He always says he's warm in it. He also wears it under his ski jacket when we ski & it works great. Cammor had the best price around. He got the tan with the yellow/orange zipper & loves it because it's different from the ones alll his friends have.

Fabulous Times Three

We ordered three of these (deep water blue, black, and drummer blue) for our 13-year-old triplet boys for Christmas gifts. These jackets are VERY pricey (which is why I only awarded four stars), but the boys all LOVED them and couldn't wait to wear them. The North Face has made such high-quality, good-looking since I was a child, and I am proud to be able to share the enjoyment with my sons. Great job, TNF!!!

The coat I purchased was suppose to be red and black. It was delivered as red and grey. My son is happy with it and the size fits great. I am not too satisfied with the fact that the color is not what I wanted.
