The North Face Denali Jacket Reviews:

Reviews:

This is a great jacket for a busy toddler boy because the jacket does not get dirty easily - somethig about it that you can shake off lots of dirt from the jacket so my son can keep wearing it wihout having to wash the jacket often (and my son is a dirt lover); and when it's time to wash, the color does not fade and the texture does not change much (sure it becomes less new looking after being washed many times but compared to other cheaper fleece it keeps the look amazingly well wash after wash); absolutely no shrinkage (warm water gentle cycle and hang to dry). The jacket is very useful because it's pretty weather resistant - you can wear it in the rain (although it is NOT a rain coat so you would't just put it on and stand outside in a downpour but can handle drizzles when you're walking to your car in the parking lot without an umbrella, etc.) or snow (again it's not a snowsuit so it's not for hours of play in the snow). It's light weight so it does not weigh my son down. The zippers are well made and does not get stuck easily and even my 3 year old can zip up himself so it's great for school. Needless to stay it's pretty warm (warmest it can be as a fleece jacket) and so those of us who live in the Midwest basically can use this jacket 9 months out of a year!
The only other thing I need to mention is that I find TNF toddler sizes to be on a smaller side so my 36 months old who is petite (25th percentile) who can still wear 2T jackets is fitting nicely into TNF 3T jackets. I recently bought a TNF 4T down jacket for him and surprisingly he is not swimming in it so make sure to size up.
Try the jacket and you won't regret getting it!

Worth It

Do not hesitate, this jacket is worth it. My son has had two -- both a 2T and 3T -- and there is no question we will be in the market again next year. He can go through just about anything in this (mud, rain, snow, and all the assorted guck in between) and after a quick wash this jacket comes out looking just as great as it did the day it arrived. I know there are less expensive options out there, but we've tried them . . . This one is worth it. For sizing, the fit is generally true to size. I do not recommend going a size bigger and letting your little one grow into it -- this jacket is useful enough that it is worth getting the right size.

I love these jackets for my son when it is not snowing in Michigan he is pretty much in it most of the winter fall and spring. Much easier than trying to stuff those puffy coats in the carseats. My son wore the 2t starting when he was about 17months was a little big in him but he is a solid little boy. After washing it so many times I feel like he might be closer to needing the 3t now and is almost 2 yrs old. But absolutely love this coat and backcountry is absolutely a pleasure to buy from!

Keeps my son warm

I have bought my son a few jackets since moving to Seattle from Phoenix, but I get tired of always having to layer him. After being so happy with my Denali Wind Pro I thought I would try this for my little man. He loves this jacket and just like his dad, wears it around the house as well. He seems perfectly comfortable in it, and it's only one layer I have to worry about. I will definitely be getting him another when he grows out of this one.

Your Kid Won't Get Beat Up

This jacket is so cool that your son will be guaranteed to not get his butt kicked at school. My son used to get picked on but I bought him this jacket and now he was voted most popular. Ok, so he is 3 and none of that happened but he does look pretty cool in this coat and it is easy for him to put on and he likes how soft it is. He has definitely gotten the attention of some kindergarden girls now!

I actually bought this jacket for my 2 year old daughter....I wanted her to have black! I really love this little jacket. It is very durable, and seems to keep her very warm! I like that she can stay warm without have a big bulky coat on... If I had to pick something wrong...all I could say is that might run just a little small? But in my experience most North Face run just a hair small. Overall, I am VERY pleased! :)

Great jacket for little ones

My son is going to be 3 in a few weeks. We ordered the 4T size and it is a little big but will be perfect for next fall. This is our second jacket - he just grew out of the 2T. He wore it constantly and it is still in great shape and will be handed down to his little brother. It is warm, comfortable, washes well (we have a boy that loves to play in the mud), and is stylish.

I bought 2 of these for my 2 and 4 year old boys. They are great, just like the adult version (and a great price!). The only comment I have is they run true to size/a tad small. My boys are small for their ages and fit in the size that corresponds to their ages. For my first order I went by the size chart and ordered too small. Thank goodness for free shipping!

Great jacket

I ordered this jacket for my son who just turned 2. It's a little big for him, but that just means it will last through at least the beginning of next winter as well. The jacket is great for the Montana winter that varies from extremely cold to pretty nice - I don't have to switch jackets when it gets a little warmer (30-40 F) outside.

I'm so happy this was finally released in toddlers sizes. Everyone in my family has at least one, but most of have 2 or 3, my husband, 8 yr old, 6 yr old, 3 yr old, and now the 2 yr old. Great fit and since I bought it towards the end of the season it was also a great price. Very pleased!
