The North Face Toddler Denali Jacket for Boy's is an all-around jacket for cold weather excursions, this straight-forward jacket offers extreme comfort and protection in nature's harsh conditions. Made from recycled Polartec 300 series fleece treated with a DWR finish, this fleece minimizes waste wherever possible. This eco-friendly jacket has abrasion-resistant panels on the torso, shoulders, and elbows that withstands loads of use year after year.
Patterned after the classic adult mountaineering fleece, the toddler version of the The North Face Denali Jacket utilizes the same beefy 300 weight Polartec fleece to form a superior mid layer or stand alone jacket.
Straight-forward comfort and durability make this new toddler-sized Denali Jacket the ultimate, all-around fleece for cold conditions.
Made from soft, midweight, recycled Polartec® 300 fleece, fabric helps prevent the flow of materials to landfills, and is treated with DWR (durable water repellent) finish at exterior for increased weather resistance. Overlay nylon panel at shoulders, chest, and elbows increases durability and abrasion-resistance in high-stress areas. Overlay is bluesign® approved fabric – a standard for environmentally-friendly production methods.

This is a great jacket for a busy toddler boy because the jacket does not get dirty easily - somethig about it that you can shake off lots of dirt from the jacket so my son can keep wearing it wihout having to wash the jacket often (and my son is a dirt lover); and when it's time to wash, the color does not fade and the texture does not change much (sure it becomes less new looking after being washed many times but compared to other cheaper fleece it keeps the look amazingly well wash after wash); absolutely no shrinkage (warm water gentle cycle and hang to dry). The jacket is very useful because it's pretty weather resistant - you can wear it in the rain (although it is NOT a rain coat so you would't just put it on and stand outside in a downpour but can handle drizzles when you're walking to your car in the parking lot without an umbrella, etc.) or snow (again it's not a snowsuit so it's not for hours of play in the snow). It's light weight so it does not weigh my son down. The zippers are well made and does not get stuck easily and even my 3 year old can zip up himself so it's great for school. Needless to stay it's pretty warm (warmest it can be as a fleece jacket) and so those of us who live in the Midwest basically can use this jacket 9 months out of a year!
The only other thing I need to mention is that I find TNF toddler sizes to be on a smaller side so my 36 months old who is petite (25th percentile) who can still wear 2T jackets is fitting nicely into TNF 3T jackets. I recently bought a TNF 4T down jacket for him and surprisingly he is not swimming in it so make sure to size up.
Try the jacket and you won't regret getting it!
I love these jackets for my son when it is not snowing in Michigan he is pretty much in it most of the winter fall and spring. Much easier than trying to stuff those puffy coats in the carseats. My son wore the 2t starting when he was about 17months was a little big in him but he is a solid little boy. After washing it so many times I feel like he might be closer to needing the 3t now and is almost 2 yrs old. But absolutely love this coat and backcountry is absolutely a pleasure to buy from!
I actually bought this jacket for my 2 year old daughter....I wanted her to have black! I really love this little jacket. It is very durable, and seems to keep her very warm! I like that she can stay warm without have a big bulky coat on... If I had to pick something wrong...all I could say is that might run just a little small? But in my experience most North Face run just a hair small. Overall, I am VERY pleased! :)
I bought 2 of these for my 2 and 4 year old boys. They are great, just like the adult version (and a great price!). The only comment I have is they run true to size/a tad small. My boys are small for their ages and fit in the size that corresponds to their ages. For my first order I went by the size chart and ordered too small. Thank goodness for free shipping!
I'm so happy this was finally released in toddlers sizes. Everyone in my family has at least one, but most of have 2 or 3, my husband, 8 yr old, 6 yr old, 3 yr old, and now the 2 yr old. Great fit and since I bought it towards the end of the season it was also a great price. Very pleased!
