The Stretch Diad Jacket by The North Face is a jacket that makes up their Summit Series jackets and is designed to get you up to the summit with total protection from inclement weather. The Stretch Diad is a fully waterproof, seam sealed outer jacket that offers stretch and easy movement while you hike and scramble to the top. The HyVent DT is an applied polyurethane coating combined with a DT print matrix which acts as a dry touch, half layer coating. The HyVent eliminates the need for a liner which in turn keeps you from getting clammy and wet.
The Stretch Diad is a basic waterproof shell that has a fully adjustable hood with a laminated brim and mini core vents so you can breathe without letting water in.
Designed in updated nylon ripstop HyVent™ DT, The North Face Stretch Diad Jacket for women features mechanical stretch so that you can make your moves with less effort. Fashioned in a performance fit, this waterproof, breathable jacket is fully seam sealed. Performance features include an adjustable hood with laminated brim, roomy Napoleon pocket, venting pit-zips, hand warming pockets, and a hideaway hem cinchcord to snug things up against a storm. Reflective logos give an identity hit.

As part of The North Face Summit Series collection the Stretch Diad and its waterproof, breathable, and seam sealed Hyvent DT 2.5L fabric was designed to maximize mobility and cut weight without sacrificing durability and quality. The Stretch Diad stands up to intense rains and is ideal for mountaineering and high intensity lightweight endeavors where conditions are harsh and treacherous. Are you up for the challenge?
Casual hikers and ounce counters alike will love the full waterproof breathable protection and lightweight stretch of The North Face Women’s Stretch Diad Jacket. This ultralight shell jacket features a performance fit tailored to a woman’s body, making it ideal for lightweight backpack trips or for bringing it along just in case. Underarm zip vents dump excess heat, and reflective logos keep you visible when you’re strolling through town on a rainy day.

Extremely light yet durable

I am surprisingly in love with this jacket. When I got it, I first thought there was no way it'd keep me dry in a downpour since it's so thin. Lately, Mother Nature's let me test that out, though, and it proved to work great. I used it biking in Gooseberry, hiking in Park City (it's breathable and light) and got compliments on it at a party on Saturday, too. Above all, it takes up hardly any room in the pack when you need to shed it.

Too short | |

This is a really cute jacket but it was a little too short for my style. If you want a jacket to cover your behind, don't get this one. The Venture is longer.

I use this jacket for spring skiing, spring/summer/fall running/snowshoeing, biking, hiking...whatever. It is super lightweight and packable and comfortable.
