Your Achilles tendon, heel, and forefoot will be particularly stoked on The North Face Women’s Futaleufu Sandal. Instead of rubbing and chafing your Achilles like many sandal straps do, the inside of this strap uses a soft, rubber-like pad for stability and comfort. Adjust both the forefoot and instep straps for a secure fit when you get ready to run the river or walk along the coast. Forefoot and heel cushions absorb shock and reduce bottom-of-foot fatigue and an integrated shank plate adds security on sharp rocks.

| This sandal is HUGE...when I first took it out of the box I assumed the wrong size was sent to me though Zappos doesnÂt really make mistakes like that...size 6 was so long and so wide it matched up to my daughters size 8 shoe when we held them together. I think it more likely would fit a size 7. It was too large for me to go down a size to 5 because it was easy to see that wouldnÂt be small enough either. It is a beautiful shoe if you can get the size right. It looks like a solid performance shoe and the fabric is really unique and if you need something really wide this is your shoe. | |

| Great hiking and travel shoes - Great shoes for the casual adventurer. Cute in a hippie kind of way - love the orange and gold undertones. Match lots of stuff--black, brown, red, orange, etc. Worked great for long days of walking on a recent trip to Disney (no discomfort, no blisters) and easy to remove at airport security. Had to return them once because I ordered an 8, and I normally take a 7.5-8, but these were really big and wide, too. Thanks to Zappos awesome return policy, I had the new ones the next day... just in time for my trip! Can't wait to try them out at the beach and hiking on a cross-country road trip this summer. | |

| Great jungle shoes - I bought these for a trip to the Mayan Riviera sightseeing the ruins and jungle. I wore them on the flight there and did get a blister, but over the next several days of walking, they were fine. I suggest a break-in period before any serious hiking. | |

I got these sandals for my girlfriend for our trip to Aruba. We were going to be doing some hiking over rocks and into a natural pool with slippery rock bottoms. After about 2 hours of hiking she had a blister int the outside of both ankles where the strap was rubbing. The removable back strap was great as she was able to wear them after taking these off without continuing to rip up her ankles. Guess they will be hiking slip ons from now on.

| The shoes are very comfy but tend to rub if walking too far or if they get wet. I took them on a rafting trip this past weekend and they worked great with the exception of getting some nice blisters along the sides of my toes. I would recommend the shoes to some one that is not as tender footed as I am. | |

I had a pair of north face sandals that i had for years- loved, loved, loved them. they lasted for years. So i ordered the same size.but a little too tight- should have gone a half size larger. Too much trouble and expense to return so i'll just have to break them in (blisters expected). otherwise great.
