Very Comfy | |

This shoe is super comfy and true to size. I have read that it is too narrow but I didn't think so. But I also have a fairly narrow foot so this could be the reason. However on my very first wear, I took these babies out on a very rigorous 8 mile, 5 hour hike and the rubber part on the front right toe started peeling back after like hour 3. By time the hike was over the rubber had completely separated from the front part. I called Backcountry the very next day to let them know. And eventhough I trekked through mud, rivers, heavy brush, and the shoes looked like they had been through it and back, Backcountry still let me return them for a new pair. They send me a free return shipping label, and had my new pair to me within 3 business days. I was very impressed. I have since wore these shoes on similar hikes and they are fairing well. I highly recommend this shoe.

I am very picky about shoes and was nervous about buying them over the internet. At this price, free shipping and reasonable returns I figured I would give them a try.

| I saw these shoes in a local store, but they didnt have my size (10), but Zappos had them, I ordered, and they arrived in lightning speed. The shoes fit great, look even better, and were comfortable from the minute I put them on. I have long, skinny feet and these shoes arent elephant wide like many styles in size 10, although they are not overly narrow either. Cinching up the laces just a little provided the perfect fit for me. My only regret is that North Face doesnt make them in Navy Blue, but I like the green version and these shoes are just what I wanted for day hikes, everyday use, and a stylish look with summer shorts. | |

| Shoes had great traction and were comfortable for my 16 mile hiking trip throughout the Grand Canyon. My only complaint was the mesh along the top and side of the shoes which let in a ton of sand/dirt along my trek! I had to take my shoes off a couple of times to clear out the dirt. Otherwise, the shoe worked great. | |

| So far so good . . . This shoe is super comfortable, with no breaking in period. I have been looking for a multi-sport shoe and so far I love it. I've mostly used it for walking, but will be doing some hiking and running with it as well. I like the way the shoe looks (I have the green). | |

| I really like these shoes. They fit well and are super comfortable. The only thing I wish is that they looked a tiny bit more 'running shoe' and less 'walking shoe.' I kept them, so the look obviously didn't bother me that much. The size that fit me was a 1/2 size smaller than what I usually wear. | |

too narrow | |

I love the look of this shoes, and I like Northface shoes - they seem to be the only ones which don't make my feet sweat. This one however was to narrow in the front and cramped in my toes. Usually with size 9 I have plenty of toe room.

| I bought these shoes before I went on my long trip to Alaska. They were great for all my excursions: white water rafting, glacier treks, and zip lining hikes. They held up well and were very comfortable. I highly recommend these shoes. | |

Great shoe. Love it. Excellent traction ... almost too good. The only thing ... I wish I would have ordered a half-size down. The shoe is just a teeny bit larger than my normal size 9.

| These shoes are great for hiking. Very comfortable and stable. I bought the pink ones and I love the color combination! I have plantar fasciitis and they have great arch support. | |
