Excellent trail shoe! | |

| This is my first pair of hiking/trail shoes, so I can only compare these against the walking/running shoes I have used on trails and hiking trips. For the fit, the shoe seemed to be slightly roomier than other shoes of the same size. However, I think a half size down would have been too small. When tied tightly, the laces stayed tied for the whole day. In comfort, the foot bed has a nice cushioning feel when walking and the shoe is lightweight. On my recent trip, I walked in these shoes for over 8 hours a day, and my feet were not achy like I had become accustomed to with other shoes. The outsole had great traction. One day of my trip was spent in a rain forest, and I didn't slip on any of the rocks like many of the others in our group. I am very satisfied with this purchase. | |

| Great casual/hiking shoe - Great shoe. They are a little tight and narrow for my big, wide feet, but still fit comfortably. Excellent construction. Feel great while hiking. The only complaint I have is some of the rubber tread "spikes" on the bottom of the shoe started to come off. They seem like aesthetic issues, though. I expect this shoe to hold up for quite a while. I don't run in these as they are kinda heavy and don't have the motion control I have with my Brooks Adrenaline GTS's. I recommend these for casual use or outdoor activities. | |

| Great Shoes - I had been a long time Adidas fan, but when I bought my last pair of Adidas Trail Runners I was sorely disappointed. They had changed the fit of the whole shoe. In addition to the shoe not fitting like my previous ten or so pairs the sole separated in a short amount of time. I then started poking around and found these shoes. I put them on and wondered why I had been wearing Adidas all this time. These are my favorite shoes yet! | |

| Very pleased - I am very pleased with my purchase of these trail runners. They are even lighter than they look and offer exceptional ventilation. Though I usually wear a wide width shoe, the prophecy in regular width is a perfect fit, with an ample toe box. Quality seems good for a synthetic shoe. I was initially hesitant to purchase a TNF product, but am more than satisfied. Will hope for a positive long term review. I would definitely purchase these again. Zappos service was excellent, as always. | |

| This is my 4th pair of TNF shoes...these have a little reflective tape on the top of the shoe which I dont like. But other than that I like the way they look and feel, no break in period. I use them as walking around shoes, have not hiked or run in them but I walk to and from work (only 2 miles a day) but with the tread design they would grip trails easily. They also breathe well, don't need the GORE-TEX in San Diego. | |

Awesome Shoe | |

Shoe is extremely light and breathable! My feet stayed cool the whole time on mountain. Traction was phenomenal! After a 5.5 hr hike up a mountain, I walked into a Gore Creek in Vail, Co to ice my legs. Rocks were slippery and I did not have any trouble navigating or slipping with treads on bottom of shoes! Although it lacked in ankle support, it made up with adequate support and comfortability. Highly recommend shoe! I purchased dark shadow grey/slickrock red.

| Always nice to find a new favorite! Upside - not garish or strange looking, light weight, great fit, and a pleasure to run or walk trails in. Downside - lacks the wet surface traction and the sense of feeling like my feet are really 'protected' that I have with my similar Vasque shoes. Not as cushy or bulletproof in the really rough stuff. I like them so much I bought a second pair two weeks later. | |

| Roomy in my size - Very comfortable fit. I wear a size 14 and some brands in that size are tight. Not these North Face shoes. They are a bit wider than normal, but overall, a real comfortable fit. Sole is somewhat firmer and gives a bit more support than a regular sneaker. The laces are really thin, I've yet to see if they keep a firm lace or slip and loosen while wearing. | |

GREAT SHOES, GREAT VALUE

I wear these as daily footwear, and they have outlasted ever other pair of footwear I have tried. They are very lightweight and breath well, and provide comfort and support beyond any other shoes I have tried. I have worn out 3 pairs, each lasting more then an year, and I wear them 7 days a week. I will continue to purchase this model forever!

| Awesome looking shoe - I bought these shoes to wear on a daily basis (with shorts, jeans, khakis) and I have already gotten compliments on them (which is a first for a pair of athletic shoes!) They were a little stiff when I first got them and nowhere near as comfortable as pure running shoes, but they have broken in nicely. | |

I bought these shoes and immediately started to abuse them. After 5 straight days of hiking, I was really impressed. The Vibram sole is the best for scrambling over rocks, and they were really comfortable on my feet. They took the regular trail abuse well, but the stitching is beginning to come apart on the sides.

| I was disappointed to see the the Northotic sole did not exist in this shoe and the foot bed was not removable as in the previous Prophecy model. | |
