Amore Down Jacket | |

I got the amore down jacket for christmas and it is a great jacket for skiing. It has a nice simple design and is perfect for cold days. It seems very well made and has a more durable outer fabric than most other puffys i have owned. As other reviewers have mentioned the sizing is definitely a little off. I generally wear a small, I am 5'7'' and 115lbs but I have a medium in this coat. The arms on the small were way to short, especially when I raised my arms. The jacket also has a powder skirt which is nice although unless I am wearing a bulky fleece underneath it is too loose and there is plenty of space for snow to come up. I have this jacket in vibrant blue which is actually a little bit more purple than the picture but it is still a great color.

Very nice coat | |

| Overall, I love the coat. The fit is great, arms are long, feels oh so comfy and cozy. I only wish that North Face would come up with some jazzier fabrics. Maybe some plaids or mild print options. There are only a few coats with this option and they are not down. Besides the boring cover, this coat is A+. | |

Warm and Stylish! | |

| This is an amazing jacket. I love how it feels; cozy and warm. I mainly use this jacket when I'm snowboarding. The slopes at Mammoth can get quite windy. Using two additional (thinner) layers + this jacket, I was well protected against the elements. The 600 Fill down insulation works really effectively on chilly mornings. GREEEEAT JACKET!! | |

Comfortable and VERY warm!

| I love the shape of this jacket; that it's smaller in the waist, which contributes to its feminine appeal. It's also much thicker than my other North Face jacket, so I prefer it on colder days. | |

| I was also hesitant about ordering online, but it arrived with 2 days and is perfect. Not too bulky, but dependable down warmth. Very happy with design, and fit. Thank you Donna From California | |

| The jacket is very warm and has lots of pockets. The zipper goes all the way up to your chin, so your neck will be warm. It's a great length. I highly recommend it. | |

Review Title | |

I thought this was going to be the coat for me, after doing all kinds of web-based research on coats. So I was disappointed when it came and it wasn't right for me. The down was puffier than I had expected, especially in the arms. It would definitely keep you warm, no question, but I wish it had less filling in the arms because it would've been difficult to fit even a light sweater underneath and avoid looking like a snowman. The fabric was a little stiffer than I had expected. That said, it has a nice feminine shape and if you wear a size 4 or smaller, it will probably look great. (I'm in the size 8-10 category). I think North Face tends to run small, this one included. I purchased a size large and it fit properly. I am ordering the Patagonia Ice Field jacket instead for the less puffy primaloft and better fit.

nice but not right for me

i had ordered size M, i really wanted this to be the jacket... it was sized ok, the length was good (im 5'7/135 lbs)but it was really bulky and the fabric didn't feel very flexible. I wanted a very slim down coat, so this wasn't working out. also, the attached hood sat weird on the collar which felt oversized. I returned this jacket and got the TNF womens Destiny in medium, it fits much slimmer on me(even though backcountry said it would fit the same) and the fabric is much more flexible, and I LOVE it.

I am 5'4", 111 lbs. and ordered the jacket in a small. It was uncomfortably tight across the back with a mid-weight base layer. It also was shorter than I expected. Just not very comfy. Seemed well made, though, a serious down jacket, not at all puffy
