| Sizing I felt it was pretty true to the North Face fit, maybe a tad bigger than my North Face Tempest. Length is fabulous right above knee for me, but than again I am short. Warmth - I haven't had a chance to wear the product in the freezing cold, but the one time I did wear it I was snug as a bug. My fear is that it is a little thin feeling, but it is 600 down. Hood - that could be made better - it doesnt stay up if I were to pull it up. Northface should make a better hood that stays up and covers ears. This is one thing Columbia does better. Pockets - good, and enough and deep. All in all its a nice jacket. | |

"One of North Face's Best"

| I was eyeing the North Face Metropolis coat for a long time, but saw this one and am in love. Very similar to the Metropolis, but not as long. It hits low enough to cover your butt, instead of going nearly to the knees. Crazy warm, even in cold Michigan weather. I got the Brownie color and I love it...not the typical black North Face that every other girl has. One gripe is that the sleeves could be a bit longer...they're probably fine for most people, I prefer mine longer so I can pull them over my hands. I was also happily surprised to find this had a removeable hood, which you can't really tell from the picture. Definitely a great coat, worth the money!! | |

| I love this coat. It rocked the sitting-on-metal-bleachers-in-November-for-3-hours test. And it's not at all puffy, it's slim, soft and lightweight, but extremely warm. And it covers by bottom, which is awesome. Totally fine for walking from the car into the store/work or for keeping you warm in frigid Michigan temps for extended lengths of time (referring back to the whole sitting on bleachers thing). Tips on sizing: I wear a medium for tailored shirts, but a large for baggy shirts, and always a large for coats because I have long arms, but only needed a medium for this. So, if you're torn about size, this may apply to you as well. Go with the smaller size. | |

| Love this coat! VERY warm, but not too puffy/bulky - After a considerable amount time looking for a very warm winter coat and "research" to find the "right" one, I decided to give this one a try. (Couldn't really go wrong with free returns!) I'm so glad I bought this! It is really comfortable and very warm--worn it with temps in the 20s and was warm--but it's also very lightweight and easy to move around in. Perfect length, hits just below hips. I got the brown and it's very cute. Have only had it for a short while, but already have had lots of compliments. It's also nice in that it works for dress or play. | |

"Best Coat Ever!!" | |

| I just bought this coat to wear around my college campus. Last winter I bought the longer version of this coat and it was extremely warm!! It was a little too long for casual campus wear (got in the way during class), but still the best!! So after that one, I had to get this one as well! It is long enough to cover your butt which keeps you extra warm. It's not as long as the other one that went down to my knees, but is perfect. It has a nice feminine fit that is a little slimmer than the older version. Very cute coat and extremely warm!! Must buy for winter :) | |

Nice Jacket | |

I bought this jacket for my 19 year old daughter to wear walking around the cold Michigan campus. She has tried it out for that and REALLY likes it. She's short, so it covers her to her thigh, without being too long. She's a size 6 generally and first ordered a medium, reading that they run small. I'm a 10-12 and it fit me, so I quickly ordered a small so she'd have the right size for Christmas. The small was perfect. I had asked advice from Backcountry on this and they didn't really have good advice on this. I'd just say this jacket runs true to size.

I am 5'6" with an average or longer torso 135lbs. Size medium runs a little bigger than my last years medium north face aconcaqua. Wanted something a little longer to cover my butt and this comes about 2" past bottom of my butt or 32.5" lenght from top of back collar. could easily wear with a couple layers underneath but small might have been to snug. Sure it will be warmer than my shorter one for the cold Chicago winter. It is slightly tapered inward at the waist and is not too puffy. Love the color and think it will wash well like my aconcaqua.

Great Jacket | |

I'm really pleased with this jacket. It kept me nice and warm walking across campus with temps in the low 30's. I got it in Cherry Stain Brown, size small (I'm 5'7'' and 118 lbs), and it fits very well, leaving some room for layering if I choose. I was afraid the arms would be too short, but they're not. The color is beautiful. Also, I was afraid removing the hood would leave the snaps visible, but the collar has a convenient little flap that covers the snaps.

Warm and Practical | |

I bought this jacket just before Christmas and I really like it. It is very light weight, but very warm (especially today when it was -16 degrees on my way to work). I normally wear smalls in shirts but ordered a medium and it fits pretty well - a little big, but room for big sweatshirts/sweaters. The only thing is that I wish it were a bit longer because it just barely cover my bottom but it said that it would come to about mid-thigh.

Overall a great light winter jacket for Northern temps

| Although I was initially looking for the NorthFace Metropolis Jacket as it is longer, the Transit jacket was long enough (mid-thigh)and very warm considering how light it is. I live in the NYC area and despite the cold temps, this has kept me warm. The snap-on hood is convenient though the drawstrings are a bit tricky to maneuver to tighten around the head. Other than that, it's a great jacket and would recommend it. | |
