This 5.4 ounce jacket is the ultimate, ultralight, performance rain jacket The North Face Men’s Triumph Anorak is one of the most lightweight waterproof and breathable jackets in the world. Constructed with only two panels of waterproof breathable fabric (the hood and the body), compared to an average of 15 panels of fabric on comparable jackets, the Triumph Anorak is significantly less bulky due to minimal stitching and materials. Magic Seam construction and ultra-light skinny tape make help this lightweight rain jacket amazingly durable. The moment you touch this jacket you will feel the difference. Squashing up smaller than a soft ball and weighing in at less than 6 ounces this jacket is ideal for fast and light backpacking trips, adventure racing, and summer outings when afternoon storms threaten your day. As part of TNF's Summit Seires this shell was built for serious adventures in the most unpredictable conditions. HyVent DT: Using the same principle as HyVent coating but reducing the thickness of the third layer, this waterproof fabric is lightweight, packable, and more breathable than other unlined treated fabrics. HyVent DT is created by applying a polyurethane (PU) coating with a DT print matrix which acts as a dry-touch, half-layer coating. The DT half layer adds durability and comfort by physically separating the HyVent DT PU coating from the skin. HyVent DT eliminates the need for a liner and is commonly referred to as a 2.5-layer fabric. Click here to learn more about the Triumph's two-panel construction
In the quest for ultralight and compressible, The North Face Men's Triumph Anorak makes the next breakthrough. Instead of a typical 15 panel design, the Triumph does it in two sections, thus eliminating the significant bulk from stitching and seam tape. Eliminating seams results in 50% less seam tape, and creates a waterproof breathable jacket with few weak points. At just 5.4 ounces, this hooded sternum zip HyVent DT jacket takes lightweight into the stratosphere. The lighter you get, the lighter you get.
By using a unique two-panel construction, The North Face removed every unnecessary seam from the Men's Triumph Anorak Jacket giving you a fully waterproof shell with very few weak points. At an incredible 5.4oz, the Anorak Jacket packs away for your long distance treks without weighing you down. Magic Seam construction improves protection and reduces bulk, and the fully adjustable hood with laminated brim keeps you going in wet, stormy weather. The chest pocket, complete with reverse coil zippers, protects your essentials from the elements.

North Face Triumph Anorak Jacket | |

| I initiated this jacket on the Appalachian Trail for a 30 day hike and it worked superbly. I use it as a summer rain jacket because it is so lightweight and thin in material. It is well worth the price. If you are into hiking and want to cut down on the weight of your gear this is a smart investment. The only downside is that because it is so lightweight and thin the possibilty of it tearing is very real. So this jacket may not be the best for rock climbing on especially sharp rocks. I wear a small men's and I am a 5'5'', 140 lb female. Because this is a summer rain jacket I ususally only have a t-shirt on underneath and it fits fine however the arms are a little long on me. Great investment for the hiker looking to shed some wieght on their gear. | |

| Bought this jacket in late winter/early spring here in Minnesota. Have used the jacket a few times on local trips up to the north shore of lake superior and on a week long trip to Glacier National park. I love this jacket because it is super lightweight and small packing. I ran into rain on one of the trips up to the lake, and the jacket performed perfectly in wet conditions. I tend to sweat alot and I found the jacket to be pretty breathable as well. I would highly recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a really nice jacket for backpacking / hiking as long as aren't going to be bushwhacking. This is a lightweight (thin material) jacket, that will last if you take care of it. I bought the XL - I am about 6', 210lbs - athletic build and it fits perfectly. | |

| This jacket is amazing.. Ultralight, it packs small, very waterproof and breathable. Perfect for hiking, trail running, trekking or any other outdoor activity in late spring and summer weather. I chose the green lantern color, and I'm very happy with it. Very bright and eye catching. I would totally recommend this item to anyone who is looking for decent rain jacket no doubt. I'm going to do some hiking in Venezuela over the summer; after that, I will write a review to evaluate its performance. | |
