As the high-altitude snow storms rage, stay dry and comfortable in The North Face's 4-Person, 4-Season VE 25 Tent. Dual doors with dual vestibules give you plenty of room for your stuff, and The North Face's true bucket nylon floor blocks snow and rain from entering your safe haven. Get to basecamp and set up the VE 25 Tent quickly with the no-hassle continuous pole sleeves and color-coated canopy and flysheet webbing. Once you're cozy inside, peer out the durable polyurethane windows to check on the weather conditions. Multiple guy-points steady the VE 25 Tent against harsh mountain winds, and The North Face's internal tent pockets keep your headlamp, watch, and midnight chocolate snack accessible. Unzip the internal vents and enjoy a cool breeze when the weather warms up.

More then a one season tent

While this is one of the most bomb proof tents made for winter use, I use mine all the time in all seasons. It vents well, and I have used it in Hawaii as well as on the Green River in Utah. There are lighter tents for such uses, but if you want only one tent, this is the one. For high altitudes, regardless of season this is a great tent. Let the winds blow, just be prepared to take in others whose 3-season tents have blown down.

Great tent for winter/expedition use

I have used this tent for 8 year ranging from Mt Washington to Denali. This tent is simple to set up and is bomb proof. The 2 vestibules are both functional and the front can be dug out when pitched in the snow or cooked in (remember to vent!!!). It is heavier that a bibler tent, but warmer and more comfy then a bomb shelter. It has a fairly large footprint, so if you are doing a technical route where space or weight is an issue look for a single wall tent.

I've used this tent for several years (used to be the Mountain 25), and love it dearly. The other reviewers are right - use this only in harsh conditions. Otherwise, get a cheaper and lighter 3 season tent to avoid camping in a sweat lodge...unless you're into that sort of thing.

I've used my VE -25 for 8 yrs now, no issues. Performed perfectly. Winds up to 60 MPH on Mt Mitchell. Comfortable 3 adults to 180 lbs each. vents well in summer.
