Stop the chill in it's tracks with The North Face Windwall™, providing the warmth and protection you'd expect from a technical windproof fleece but with added comfort and style.
When cold gusts whip down the mountainside, stay warm in a layer of thick fleece paired with breathable wind-blocking fabric in The North Face's WindWall 2 Jacket. While you stay warm in plush fleece, a layer of WindWall fabric blocks sharp gusts with a CFM (cubic feet per minute) rating of 10. Specifications based on size Medium.

Great Wind Stopper! | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
I really enjoy this jacket. It is a great wind stopper, the fit is good, the pockets are generous and easy to get to. I only have 2 small quibbles. 1-The color selections. I like the men's colors better, ie: cardinal red/grey. and 2-I too wish it would cover more particularly the bootie. But, in retrospect, there are not alot of women's jackets this year that are doing that. Hmmm what's up with that? We like our booties warm too! Toward that end I too am asking for the men's Mountan Hardwear Extreme II Parka for my birthday gift just as another woman from a review site has done as well. Together I will then have the best of both worlds...You will enjoy this jacket.

| I love, love, LOVE this jacket; in fact, I own two of them! It's nicely constructed, fits well, and the brushed fabric is soft. It feels a little "stiff" at first but softens after laundering. I especially like the cinch cord bottom and the longer-than-normal sleeve length. The jacket does NOT have a left vertical chest pocket as the description states, but does have a convenient and much-appreciated small zip pocket on the left sleeve which is perfect for cash or keycards. It's not too heavy to layer under a down jacket or vest when it's cold, and is my only jacket once the Minnesota winter temperature climbs into the mid 30's. The PERFECT jacket for windy spring days! | |

VERY NICE | |

I love mine! I find it very comfortable and have no issues with it rubbing my arms. I think perhaps if you order it too small is may be an issue. I think it is warm (not expecting the warmth of a coat) and definitely blocks the wind. It is NOT a thick jacket and I like wearing it in the car because it is not bulky. I have a fleece i wear when I want a bit more warmth but I like having this one for the hood in case the wind gets bad.VERY HAPPY with my purchase. I wear it whenever I can get it out of my daughters hands!

Short | |

I always wear a Small or XSmall, I've found in TNF gear I should try Smalls. I am 5'7 and found this jacket too short...just by a couple inches. I should have ordered the Medium, but then I worry that it would be way too baggy....if it weren't for the length, the Small would be perfect.

This is a must have jacket! I can't save enough great things about it. It looks great on, it works great. I lived in Florida my whole life until a couple years ago when I moved to New England. I am ALWAYS cold. This is a perfect lightweight spring/fall jacket that keeps you warm, blocks the brisk wind and even acts water resistant. The sizing is true to chart. I'm 5'10" 125lbs and the small is very roomy! I love mine.

AMAZING JACKET! | |

I just cleaned the snow off my car with only a shirt and this jacket on and I was REALLY REALLY warm. I didn't even have a scarf on! I bought this jacket because one of my brother's friends (nicknamed "Teen Wolf") told him to buy the North Face Pamir jacket. Since they don't have it Women's anymore I opted to by this Windwall jacket and it rocks! I highly recommend this jacket! Thanks Teen Wolf!

Just what I needed. | |

I got the small based on the other reviews saying it is roomy and it is but in a good way - I need this to be a layer and I can wear a tshirt and a thin hoodie underneath it (and probably a thermal) and it fits very nicely over them and still looks fitted, not baggy. I usually wear a small or medium. I got the mission plum and it's a beautiful color.

This is one of the nicest hoodies I've ever purchased. I like the fit, the hood that doesn't have strings that get twisted or pull off easily, and the cute zippered pocket on the left sleeve.

Great jacket! | |

| I love the plum color and the close fit of this jacket. When I put it on, the drafts mean nothing. We keep our house cool and it is also nice for outdoor weather around the PNW. I would recommend it for the city and for sports. The only little problem is that the sleeves are close-fitting, so when I want to take it off it is more work to pull my arms out. | |

not warm | |

This jacket was disappointing, I have a 6 yr old midweight fleece from REI and despite how worn down it is, it was way warmer than this jacket. I live in southern california and so I don't know how others are finding this jacket warm, but on a cold rainy day here when I was wearing this jacket I was so cold! And I don't get cold easily. It was almost like I wasn't wearing a nice expensive fleece at all.

| I usually buy Small jackets, but after reading reviews saying this one was a bit roomy, I went for the XS. Unfortunately the fit of this jacket is so odd that I don't see any size fitting me right - unless I wear hockey or football pads underneath it. I am 5'2" about 115 lbs, and the shoulders & chest of the jacket were humongous on me! Simultaneously, it was too short for my liking (barely covering the belt loops on my pants). Also, the sleeves are tapered, making the cuffs so small that the wide upper portion of the sleeve can't fall naturally - which puffs them up even more around my shoulders! As far as the material & function of the jacket are concerned, it looks well-made, and felt quite warm. I like the outer layer of jackets to be more smooth, but this one has a fleece-like softness. I will be returning this for a more flattering, longer length jacket. | |

Fit a litte weird | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
I got this jacket several weeks ago but only worn it a few times. The reason is because the jacket fits weird on me. I am 5'4" (160 lbs) and the jacket is cut short and wide. I ordered a Large. It doesn't have a feminine cut. The arms comes all the way passed my knuckles. This jacket doesn't keep you warm but it does stop the wind. I would pair it with another fleece for warmth.
