After a long, taxing day on the trail, drop your pack and park your butt on the Therm-a-Rest Lite Seat Camp Chair. This mini version of the Prolite sleeping pad features a self-inflating foam construction that rolls up to fit in your pocket. When inflated, the seat also works as a soft frame for ultralight daypacks.

This is the perfect solution for ultralite backpacking if you're willing to carry just 3 extra ounces to provide some comfort. I use it while camping, backpacking, and I even stick it in my computer bag to carry around campus so I can plop down on it instead of the ground. BONUS: I also use this as part of a pillow system -- I take this pad, folded in half, and shove it inside a therm-a-rest stuff sack pillow... THEN I shove my Western Mountaineering cloudrest pillow in the sack on top of the lite seat for an INCREDIBLY comfy, lightweight pillow. All three things together weigh 11 ounces, and since they're all versatile it's worth the weight to me.

One Of The Best Three Ounces In Your Pack

Like I stated in my first review of this product, the "Lite Seat" is a great little three ounce addition to you backpacking/outdoor gear accessories. Not only is it a comfortable seat but also a head support under your sleeping pad, & a back support in both your backpack & day pack.

Just brought this pad on a 8 day hike in the rocky Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho. Every rock was my recliner. The rest of the group was pretty envious of my little ass cushion and I don't blame em. It could be the best 3oz in your pack.
