| I got the Thermarest NeoAir because of the good reviews in backpacker and such. I also got it because their really is not a sleeping pad I feel comfortable carrying dayhiking for emergency use and lastly I want to lighten my load and pack size as I can go faster but still be comfortable. This fits all these uses. With a 2.5 thermal rating this is as good as my ridge rest with alot less bulk. Its a good product a real high tech combo of a good air mattress and a space blanket for your backside. My only concern and I have not any reason or validation is the durability of it from the looks its made well but for the price it better hold up. And my only gripe is no stuff sack included to protect it or patch kit should the worst happen. It held up well in backpackers testing in conditions far worse then I am using it so that and thermarests reputation sot of alleviate my fears durability wise. If this pad included a stuff sack and patch kit and was priced $ 20.00 less I would have to give it five stars. Still for the warmth versus the bulk and weight and the comfort factor its good gear and worth having to cut weight, bulk, and or to carry for emergencies on dayhikes or fast overnights. Long distance hikers finally have a comfortable pad with mininal bulk. Since sleep enhances performance and the comfort factor of this is way high I have to say its a game changer. It is also one of the three best new pieces of gear to have come out in 2009. | |

| This is a must have for ultra lite gear heads. I'm not sure how it will hold up to much abuse. But if you are into ultra lite you probably take good care of your gear and it will be fine. It is super comfy and rolls up small. I'm hooked on this after just a short 3 night trip! | |

| I loved the thickness of the pad at such a light weight. If you are a side sleeper I highly recommend the Neo Air. I question the durability because the skin seems very thin but it has held up thus far. | |

A light sleeping pad. | |

| Had a bit of a tricky time getting it folded into thirds to roll up, but that's mostly because I'm clumsy. No self inflation, so be prepared for 3-5 minutes to inflate. | |

| I just recently bought 2 of these (got them both 20% off) and used them for the first time on one overnight. They are very comfortable but mine deflated to where I could feel my hipbone touching the ground in the middle of the night. My wife's did the same but not quite as bad as mine. I know for sure it wasn't because I didn't close the valve all the way. I'm not sure if it's just a permeable type of material and this is normal. There aren't enough reviews yet to tell. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with them. I've heard that someone returned it and got a new one and everything was fine. I may do the same. If the same thing happens again I may just go back to my Prolite 3. They are very comfortable when they aren't deflated. Worst case, you may have to blow it up once more in the middle of the night. | |
